Is not at all christmassy and should be somehow stopped? It's just not right. I considered hanging out some washing this morning. And there are flies about and everything.

I don't want snowmageddon, but a little bit of frost would be nice, or even some rain/wind.

I feel your pain. I live in Canada, in a ski resort town no less, and we have no snow, and no snow in the forecast. It is not right, and I want it fixed immediately.

fuzzypeach1750 · 22/12/2011 13:09

I totally agree, a little frost and a nip in the air would be perfect. But no, I actually have washing outside on the line. When I wander the garden I have bulbs popping up everywhere and I still see wasps. Where did our Winter go? Xmas Sad

hellhasnofury · 22/12/2011 13:09

I hear you. Been saying the same myself, I want cold weather!

NoobyNoob · 22/12/2011 13:09

YANBU - currently the heating is off and the windows are open. Shocked is not the word!

alistron1 · 22/12/2011 13:10

If I had gone to the trouble of living in a canadian ski resort and there was no snow there would be an international incident of some sort.

I just think that one can not drink brandy and whisky when it's 11 degrees outside. How on earth can christmas happen with no brandy/whisky?

YANBU! I really like having a snowy Christmas morning.
I've got all the windows thrown open and washing hanging out while im getting the house decorated for the big day. Oh and i'm wearing a thin cotton t- shirt.

PiratecatClaus · 22/12/2011 13:12

yep too mild, am only bothered because my dd has yet another cough cold, the 4th one in about 6 weeks. need some icy weather to freshen up the air

Jacksterbear · 22/12/2011 13:13

YABU get thee outside immediately it's a beeyootiful day! Xmas Smile

south345 · 22/12/2011 13:14

Dcs have just been playing in the back garden and it's warm enough to leave the back door open here in Yorkshire! Nice to get some fresh air in but I agree not very Christmassy!

alistron1 · 22/12/2011 13:15

I've been out (xmas shopping) and I moaned about the weather the whole time Xmas Grin I'm going out again in a bit and I shall moan then too!!

It's the winter solstice ffs, the bleak midwinter and the sodding lawn needs mowing.

MrsChemist · 22/12/2011 13:15

YABU, just because my car doesn't start in cold weather, and I would like it to start on Christmas day.

pranma · 22/12/2011 13:19

16 degrees here yesterday[Shropshire]-thats warmer than most of the Summer!!

Mulledbee · 22/12/2011 13:20

YABU. I'm 38 weeks pregnant and a 30min drive from the hospital with a car that doesn't like cold weather. I'm praying it stays mild...

Tangle · 22/12/2011 13:27

YABU - I'm due in 2 days and am very glad we're not at risk of being snowed in or winding up giving birth in a snow-drift.

Although I agree a bit colder with a light frost would be a lot more seasonal - I'm just very relieved we haven't had the pre-Christmas snow that's been around the last couple of years!

Pandemoniaa · 22/12/2011 13:31

It's ridiculously warm and the coalman has just delivered 17 bags of coal. I'd normally be delighted that there will be no panicky gatherin' of winter fuel but to be honest, it looks like he's taking the mick. I love snow but right now I'd be jolly pleased with just a spot of frost.

It was quite bizarre celebrating the solstice sunrise without my slippers on too.

Mrsrobertduvall · 22/12/2011 13:33

Gorgeous here...at least when dh is getting smug about flying to Oz on Sunday to 26 degrees, I don't feel too bad!

cumbria81 · 22/12/2011 13:35

it's great - I've just done a 30 mile bike ride in shorts!

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 22/12/2011 13:37

YABU I have a newborn and a toddler so for the first time was able to actually go out to the park with toddler knowing if caught needing to breastfeed my nipples wouldn't freeze off, rather than spend yet ANOTHER day watching films and buggering up toddler's sleep!

Moving to California in the spring, I cannot wait to live somewhere where it is always mild!

Pascha · 22/12/2011 13:40

I manage the whisky perfectly well at 11 degrees. Its all a matter of practice. I would like it to be crisp and sunny and about 4 degrees though.

anonEnormousJuicybird · 22/12/2011 13:46

YABU!
I have my washing drying beautifully outside, we walked the dog for an hour without complaint from the DC and then they came back and played footie in the garden... Long may it continue please!

Everyone has rosy cheeks and good appetites (and will sleep well!).

Makes me long for the spring...

Luminescence · 22/12/2011 13:49

Tis not shitty. Tis nice not to have to bundle the kids up like michelin men and I hate scrapping ice off the car.

TheLastNameLeft · 22/12/2011 13:52

Its was 25C in my conservatory an hour ago.. I was gobsmacked!

aldiwhore · 22/12/2011 13:56

I'm ploughing on with Christmas, have even lit a festive fire, but am too hot, heating's off and has been off for 4 days, and I'm in my shorts.

Its weird.

But I like weird, may light the BBQ later.

RainboweBrite · 22/12/2011 14:16

YABU. The milder the better I say, although I still wouldn't hang washing out or turn the heating off at 12 degrees.

betterwhenthesunshines · 22/12/2011 14:18

Too mild here - and it's a pain as I need the shed as my Christmas outside-fridge and it's not nearly cold enough!!
