To think that this shitty mild sunny weather...

Is not at all christmassy and should be somehow stopped? It's just not right. I considered hanging out some washing this morning. And there are flies about and everything.

I don't want snowmageddon, but a little bit of frost would be nice, or even some rain/wind.

What a lovely scene you paint, anonEnormous Xmas Smile

Yankeecandlequeen · 22/12/2011 14:47

I find it very odd. I hate it infact. I loved it last year when the kids were off school & out playing in the snow. Christmas shouldn't be mild. It sucks.

MamaLazarou · 22/12/2011 14:55

YABU, you weirdo.

hiddenhome · 22/12/2011 14:57

It's great. I have washing out and the chickens have had a dustbath in my front garden Grin

ElaineReese · 22/12/2011 15:05

I don't like it either - it worries me.

Although most Christmases I remember as a child were neither snowy nor even frosty, usually. But still, everything's far too green.

musicposy · 22/12/2011 15:08

YABU - I'm loving it! We have no central heating and a chance of having Christmas in relative comfort instead of all shivering in layer and layers of clothes like we were a few days back.
Had a lovely long walk with the dogs, house is not damp for a change, and we're able to move from room to room without getting chilblains.
Think of the money you're saving and be grateful!

woopsidaisy · 22/12/2011 15:14

YANBU!
I have lots of people coming over for nibbles and drinks this evening. I was going to stick all the drink out this morning so it would be lovely and cold by evening...but it is so mild out, I can't. So have had to squeeze as much as I can into the fridge. And I will run out of cold drinks...and have to serve warm Cava...not good!

SantasENormaSnob · 22/12/2011 15:18

Yanbu

it is not at all wintery or christmassy Sad

Jacksterbear · 22/12/2011 15:25

Oh crap, woopsidaisy you make a good point - had not considered the refrigeration implications!

Acandlelitshadow · 22/12/2011 15:25

YABU.

I'm thoroughly appreciating being mobile and not worrying about how the family are doing out in the frozen wasteland. Snow ice and frost suck monkey balls.

lubeybaublely · 22/12/2011 15:28

YANBU

It's WRONG all wrong wrong wrong.

Hate it. I want freezing cold weather so I can use my log fire.

molepomandmistletoe · 22/12/2011 15:34

YANBU I woke up today to sunshine and it was hot together with the heating on and all my christmas excitment went out the window the second I opened it to let in some air.

It's just like any other time now. I need at the very least cold weather with preferably loads of snow. It's just not right, and more worryingly, when this cold weather does turn up I have a horrible feeling it's going to be a lot worse than earlier this year/last year.

CotherMuckingFunt · 22/12/2011 15:39

YANBU I sweat my way through shitty hot summers just to get to my reward of freezing cold winters but this year? Nada. The lizards were out playing on the stone of the house this morning. It's wrong. Wrong.

Last winter we were digging cars out of the school carpark. This year we've been wondering whether it's worth sending the dcs in with a coat or not.

WRONG. Sort it out weather or I'm going to be the world's most miserable bitch next summer. You'll regret it them. You mark my words.
