(already made this a topic in conception but more traffic here)

I've been contraception free since the 17th so very early days I know lol I think I perhaps need to clam down a bit lol, no AF visit in that time either.

I think im due around late dec/early I think,
I had very wierd cramping last night I wasn't in agony but very uncomfortable IYSWIM went on all night, and a wierd tingly feeling in my arms.
I was expecting AF to arrive, but hasnt so far.
I have felt like a heartbeat sensation and bubbles sensation, too.

wierd stuff, AIBU am I being too optimistic/hysterical ??

Actually the cramping could be implantation - I had strong cramps around the right time with both pregnancies, and I'm not a crampy person.

But if you've only just come off the pill it's highly unlikely, the chemicals take a week to clear the system for a start.

LeQueen if you go on Yahoo answers there are a million question like this and I always sit there huffing, "What DO they teach them in biology these days???" Xmas Grin

So you stopped using contraception 3 days ago and now you think you can feel a babys heartbeat?

sniggers

ImperialBlether · 20/12/2011 17:21

Can you list the relevant dates?

Date of last period
Date of last use of contraception
Dates of sexual activity without contraception

With months and years, please, ie dd/mm/yy.

Thanks.

I have ginger biscuits.

There's silly, and then there's....actually I can't think of a word for what OP is.

Wildly unrealistic and optimistic?

Oakmaiden · 20/12/2011 17:49

hopeful?

gabid · 20/12/2011 17:50

Yes, you are being silly, having us on or totally naive.

gabid · 20/12/2011 17:51

or have you seen an angel too?

Saturdaynightbeaver · 20/12/2011 17:52

This is what the Virgin Mary would have had to put up with you know. I can just imagine her thread:-

"AIBU to think that I could be pregnant? I've not had sex with my boyfriend, but an angel did pop round last night while I was doing the ironing and said that I was with child. Must say, I can feel a strange gurgly feeling and I haven't had sprouts. Has anyone else experienced this or experienced such visits. Tried googling but not a lot to go on" i'mavirginpromise

While I'm still just about managing to be serious OP, I am 28 weeks pregnant and I can't feel a heartbeat.

A massive foot kicking me in the bladder, yes, but no heartbeat. There isn't even a heart for about eight weeks.

Actually this thread is kind of adorable.

Floggingmolly · 20/12/2011 17:58

Exactly how early did the symptoms manifest themselves last time?
If this is (potentially) your second pregnancy, I simply don't believe you seriously imagine you can feel it's heartbeat 3 days after abandoning contraception. It's not impossible that you may be pregnant, but that's not what you asked, is it? No, whatever you are experiencing is not the baby's heartbeat. Xmas Hmm

keSnowBi · 20/12/2011 18:01

LeQ - it's frightening, and I speak as a woman who's never looked at her own fanjo in the mirror.

Speaking of fanjos - SuePurblybiltbyElves - I am so pleased you kept your non-purple name explanation Grin it makes me happy to this day.

alistron1 · 20/12/2011 18:06

You have wind OP. But I wish you the very best in TTC and almost hope that in 9 months time you are posting photo's of a cute baby and saying 'I told you so!!' Xmas Grin
