hangs head

I don't even want to say what it was because

  1. I didn't know the girl
  2. it affects me not a damn bit

But... I was Shock, and I like to gas so here it is.

I looked out of the window and saw a young pregnant girl (about 7 - 8 months) walking down the street in pj bottoms and ugh boots (really) and what I can only describe as a crop top. I could see nothing but bi flaming stretch marks.
Not that stretch marks are to be judged because I am 31 weeks and am getting them too... But I was just so shocked to see them! In December! On display! This is in the north too so it is freezing, I nearly fell just going to the bin . I also didn't see the pint in the crop top because she was wearing a big coat over the top (although open).

And to cap it all off... (promise I'm not just ticking boxes) she was smoking too

I don't know why I mentioned she was young because I would have been shocked no matter of age but my stupid phone won't let me go back :S

I now feel awful and need to be told iabu. Ta

What do you mean by 'being raised by that'? Confused

Ok, she's selfish to be smoking as it can cause harm to the baby...although I'm not sure she'd come in for as much criticism if she were very overweight...which can also cause harm to the baby.

But calling her 'that' is a bit uncalled for don't you think?

FanjoForTheReindeerJumper · 19/12/2011 17:48

Wow that is a mild situation to induce first time judgy pants wear. I have only worn mine once really, when a couple were feeding their toddler sachets of sugar on the bus. I work for a dentist so it had to be done.

SantaAteAllTheBiscuits · 19/12/2011 17:50

I got so freakishly hot in my first pregnancy. I had every window and door open all day and night in the middle of winter in the west of ireland! I also turned up to a hospital appointment one day in a camisole top and no coat. Consultant was Shock but I would have collapsed of heat exhaustion of I'd worn any more clothes!

the pyjamas would have had me adjusting my judgey pants though.

Kayano · 19/12/2011 17:51

I get that but did your camisole cover your tummy? Wink

FanjoForTheReindeerJumper · 19/12/2011 17:52

It wasn't like the woman's flaps were on show! Grin

Kayano · 19/12/2011 17:53

I know
I WBU about the belly but I was shocked

And I did judge and I am ashamed.
I did debate about posting. But it was that or ironing lol

Revolting plebeian. I'd have had proper little judge-up to myself too, Kay

FanjoForTheReindeerJumper · 19/12/2011 18:00

after the sights i saw at the end of our Xmas do on Sat (huge event with 500 people..lots of drunk women staggering around and bending over showing things they shouldn't in their short dresses) a belly could not shock me Grin

yellowraincoat · 19/12/2011 18:02

Fanjo, I often go out with BOTH flaps on show.

Who are you to judge?!

FanjoForTheReindeerJumper · 19/12/2011 18:02

its all in the name Wink

FanjoForTheReindeerJumper · 19/12/2011 18:02

is your name short for "yellow flasher's raincoat"? Wink

Tortington · 19/12/2011 18:03

dear op

i just judged you for saying that this was the first time you judged Smile

yellowraincoat · 19/12/2011 18:04

No...

(looks around shiftily)

WorraLiberty · 19/12/2011 18:04

I pull my flaps up over my head to keep my ears warm

SantaAteAllTheBiscuits · 19/12/2011 18:12

kayano.... not really.. it covered the bots I could see but did not have the same effect for the observer.

That said I was a [gasp] young mum and was blessed with a size 10 figure and cute bump during that pregnancy [smug]

ViviPrudolf · 19/12/2011 18:15

How many bots have you got, Santa? Confused

SantaAteAllTheBiscuits · 19/12/2011 18:20

lol... bits Xmas Blush

ViviPrudolf · 19/12/2011 18:20
Xmas Grin
ThePathanKhansWitch · 19/12/2011 18:27

I wonder if she was alright? I had vicious row with DH when i was about 7mths
pregnant, and ran out the house in a nightdress and a pair of wellies Xmas Blush
tears streaming down my face, hair all over the gaff. I walked onto the high st to a cafe. Fuck knows what the rush-hour people going to work thought, there's
probably a thread on here about it Xmas Blush.

Kayano · 19/12/2011 18:31

It looked like she may have just been nipping to the shop. I can't say I noticed any signs of upset/ distress.

I was too busy Shock and thinking ShE WILL FREEZE!

LynetteScavo · 19/12/2011 18:35

Sounds like normal behaviour for the north.

JamieComeHome · 19/12/2011 18:37

My judgey pants are "no VPL" so as to be virtually undetectable

LynetteScavo · 19/12/2011 18:39

In this girls defense, I actually like the PJ/ugg boot look. It can be seen a bit around here with a Jack Wills sweatshirt, but only by the private school girls with the swept over hair.

And it's hard to find a top to cover your tummy when pregnant. All tops seem to become crop tops, unless you find something nice in Gap maternity.

But I would have told her to put out the cigarette. And given a little lecture about depriving her unborn baby of oxygen. Actually, I wouldn't, but I would have wanted to.

JamieComeHome · 19/12/2011 18:39

ThePathan - I also had a row with DH when heavily pregnant. Went stomping about in the dark, on icy pavements, pretending not to notice my concerned DH was following at a distance in the manner of a private detective because he was worried about me

ThePathanKhansWitch · 19/12/2011 20:14

Jamie mine found me stuffing my face with a "truckers" breakfast Grin at the cafe, i'd told the owner, lovely greek man what he'd said to me, so he sat there, while the whole Greek family came out and gave him filthy looks! Ha.

Glad it wasn't just me stomping off unsuitably dressed whilst pregnant.
