DD has aspergers. she is fine if things are just so ad don't deviate from her 'norm'..

on saturdays she has pizza.

she saves half of her pizza to eat for breakfast on sunday morning.

This is the law of DD.

How many fucking sodding bastard times is DH going to eat the fucking pizza? even just one piece? This means DD goes off on one, ranting and squawking and will now be in a mood for the rest of the fucking day.

Yes, DD should learn that a piece of pizza isn't the end of the world but FUCKING HELL!!!!!

My DNephew is ASD and it has very much been a case of 'choose your battles' for my Dsis and DBil.

Once he has started melting down, he is usually removed from the situation, rather than the situation is altered for him. They don't force him through things which distress him if that makes sense. So for example, it was his birthday party recently and he had to go upstairs with his dad 3 times during the afternoon, but each time came down ready for a fresh try. They didn't get the other children to alter their behaviour around him at all. He coped well with that because he was able to leave the situations that stressed him.

However, at church for example, he finds the music too loud. It will be too loud every time he comes back in, so that isn't a solution. He wears ear defenders and happily joins in with everyone else that way. Their approach has been to look for ways through rather than alter his environment so that he can enjoy as much of life as everyone else, but not at the cost of their enjoyment.

Is it possible that DD ate a bit more of her pizza than normal and has forgotten because she usually leaves exactly half, so that's what she's expecting to see?
