...will I be shunned?

People are talking about Christmas hampers too. Are they a thing?

I'm confused and frightened.

PsecretPsanta - Oh well, my search will continue! But thanks anyway.

I'm 31 and have always been given Christmas pyjamas. My mum and dad buy them every year along with a chocolate advent calendar. Grin So if you do start the pj thing beware that you may never be allowed to stop!

I also do the Christmas eve hamper thing. It's just filled with stuff to entertain my evil children and stop them from spontaneously combusting with excitement. Has bath stuff and colouring pages, a DVD, story book for bedtime and new pyjamas of course. I've mentioned on MN before but the hamper is from my DS2 (who was stillborn) to his big and little brother. I do spend money on its contents as I don't get to buy presents for my DS2.

That's a lovely idea OvO. Smile

I hope I can keep up the christmas jarmies idea with my two until I am/they are old and grey!

I hadn't heard of the christmas eve hamper before. Think I might do that, it sounds lovely.

OK - I am now going to have do a christmas hamper for DD.

tethersjinglebellend · 02/12/2011 16:11

I can't cope with the added pressure.

SOH oh you've put into words what I was thinking and couldn't. Someone else was ranting on, on another thread about the pj'S and hamper being 'buying into over commercialism' blah blah....

W, too liek a lot of people have had a bad year, redundancy, out of work for a while and last night B/F came home to say his contract had been ended (along with dozens of others) as of Saturday night Shock. So for us, its not about spending MORE money but making something quite cheap seem a lot.

I buy new pj's for Christmas Eve for all my dgc[9 of them] and for dd who is now 37!!I just cant not in her case-I fill her stocking too and one for her dh.

HugosGoatee · 02/12/2011 16:21

ViviPrudolf · 02/12/2011 16:23

Ah Hugo, the modal loungewear range. Sadly I cannot take the credit for those ones!

thefurryone · 03/12/2011 08:50

GWALT you see I couldn't do that for fear of being cursed, you are very brave Xmas Smile
