Using the fact that someone may have only been raised by one parent as a negative I find disgusting.

It's the implication that two parents are better than one, that a single parent must do a rubbish job I find offensive

I was refering to the tories history of targetting single parent families as being the evils of society, and the married 2.4 children as being the desirable through tax etc
