last week it was racism....
this week benefit bashing
next week????

OP posts:
squeakytoy · 23/11/2011 12:10

next week will be reserved for the wrath of MILs and Grandparents who are brave enough to give their grandchildren an advent calendar with chocolate in it... I predict a flurry of threads by lunchtime on 1st December Grin

WhyAlwaysFuckingMe · 23/11/2011 12:10

thought same thing.. spooky!
its just boring...

Kayano · 23/11/2011 12:11

We have a SIL thread ATM actually.

I'm thinking p&c again personally

valiumredhead · 23/11/2011 12:12

Not done kids/no kids at weddings for a while...

ConOfScience · 23/11/2011 12:17

Oh I thought this week was about favourite Mn'ers and cliques?

TroublesomeEx · 23/11/2011 12:17

I think Squeaky might be right.

I'm holding out for another week of AIBU to fancy [insert cbeebies presenter] to lighten things up a bit.

Moominsarescary · 23/11/2011 12:21

I was just thinking the same thing

I'm thinking food related threads, more toddlers being fed chocolate at nursery, over weight children eating mcdonalds.

Actually it may have allready started, I'm sure I saw one this morning with an op blaming her mum for making her overweight

MoreBeta · 23/11/2011 12:28

Just wait for the week after Xmas.

It will be 'annoying parents in law' and 'AIBU to [insert random violent act] my DH' week.

Christmas always brings the best out in families. Grin

Kayano · 23/11/2011 12:32

I actually would like to put forward that they are not weekly themes...

But more like 3 day events

A la debenhams

Sevenfold · 23/11/2011 12:48

I forgot about the advent calendar yearly theme and Kayano your right, I am wrong. we had the FC threads earlier in the week,

OP posts:
Proudnscary · 23/11/2011 12:55

Oh I thought this week was 'crawl up the arse of a fellow MNetter'?

AbsofCroissant · 23/11/2011 12:56

It's not really wedding season, hence the lack of "children at weddings" threads, though there have been a couple of "bitchy bridezilla" threads. Child free weddings will probably make a return circa April when summer wedding invites start getting sent out.

Moominsarescary · 23/11/2011 13:01

I think that was the weekend theme proudnscary I wasn't one of the chosen

ConOfScience · 23/11/2011 13:02

January/February is the months for new brides to be.

Just think of all the people who propose on Christmas/New Year because they are too damned lazy to get a proper gift Grin

Proudnscary · 23/11/2011 13:05

Oh it's still trundling along Moonmin on three separate cringe-tastic threads...

BeaOnSea · 23/11/2011 13:08

At what point will the battle of Aunt Bessies @ Xmas dinner begin again?

Grin
Moominsarescary · 23/11/2011 13:25

Oh yes, mardybra started one about people feeling left out, I some how missed the third

Moominsarescary · 23/11/2011 13:29

The proposing at Christmas threads have just started
Tacky?
Romantic?
Tight?
Who cares

northernwreck · 23/11/2011 13:31

I think this week people are feeling stressed over having to pay for xmas , and have decided to turn on benefit scroungers to relieve the tension.
Season of goodwill and all that..

Moominsarescary · 23/11/2011 13:44

Lovely isn't it, I never realised untill I came on here that people had such a big problem with those on low incomes/minimum wage

ConOfScience · 23/11/2011 13:54

Moomins - I started the proposing at Christmas on the back of the comment I made on this thread.

Come onto the thread, let us all know that you don't care Grin

WilsonFrickett · 23/11/2011 13:57

Nope, it's getting on Christmas. I predict three weeks solid of 'AIBU to spend ninetynine million pounds on my DC's first Christmas?' closely followed by 'AIBU to make my all my DCs presents and Christmas lunch out of an old pocket handkerchief?'

And lots of 'won't someone think of the baby Jesus'

Proudnscary · 23/11/2011 13:59

And not wanting MIL/SIL over for Christmas, Wilson. Though they started about a month ago.

I really don't like the 'what are you buying dh' - seems a bit pointless and competitive to me and I've no fecking idea what I'm buying him

Kladdkaka · 23/11/2011 14:00

P&C spaces have been a bit quiet lately. I predict Christmas shopping stress will give them a new lease of life.

Moominsarescary · 23/11/2011 14:11

con I didn't say I don't care, I'd be happy to have something nice and sparkly any time of the year, but I'm a bit of a magpie
