This is my first Mumsnet Christmas. Do people usualy get het up about the snow / gritting scenario? Can imagine that becoming a much-AIBU discussion

oh yes, IABU that the teachers get to go home because of the snow, yet i managed to walk to school

We once had a woman snowed in and almost had a live birth on MN thread. That was fun.

There have been a few "what do I need to stock up on before the snow arrives". Personally, I think it's pretty obvious, gin, tonic water, limes and kitty litter.

Are there threads about parents getting upset because there dc hasn't got the lead in the school play

The kitty litter is for putting on the path to prevent you drunkenly slipping when you head out searching for gin-appropriate snacks. I thought that much was obvious.
