It's his birthday in Jan, he's getting a new Micro scooter - he's a big kid at heart!

zipzap · 21/11/2011 16:37

Was out shopping with dh at lunch time and he spotted an electronic drum kit which he was actively dropping lots of 'this would make a fantastic Xmas present' hints about. Not sure about that yet - no idea where it would go for a start.

Was rather hoping that he'd be happy with a third share in the Playmobil pyramid that we are getting for the dc to share, (less than half price in Argos last week) - suspect he is the one that wants it the most.

Otherwise he's getting a couple of jumpers, some books, assorted bits and bobs (probably featuring lots of stuff from the 7dayshop/play.com/amazon special deals of the day/mega Monday's / run up to black Friday stuff. I might have got him a kindle but won't if drum kit is something he would prefer.

But he has got a birthday in jan too so need to keep dome stuff for that... Preferably the stuff that will have the biggest discount after Xmas [thrifty/stingy smiley]

Stupid sod

Clayhead · 21/11/2011 17:02

Nothing, we never do Christmas or birthday presents, never have!

InDulciJubilo · 21/11/2011 18:27

GiserableMitt

I have a pair of men's motorbike trousers for sale (used). Are you interested?

InDulciJubilo · 21/11/2011 18:27

GiserableMitt Well, a pair of women's as well.

WelshMoth · 21/11/2011 18:34

Will be looking at this thread with interest when young ones are in bed, but here's my thoughts for now...

A good radio (for when DIY'ing around house and garden)
Teach yourself French CD/ download thingie
Something to wear from FatFace
Book (not sure which yet)
Facial mosituriser (he loves it!)
New pair of rugby socks
Ski jacket (like Berghaus but blimey, it's expensive!)

Clearly not ALL from this list, am not made of money Grin

lambbone · 21/11/2011 18:49

He's getting a new chimenea. He had a terracotta one before but it succumbed to the frost- and he does love a burn up!

I've asked for a new kitchen radio. Listening to radio 4 on an old cd/radio which is the size of a bread bin and only works when the ariel is taped to the boiler. Might be a good suggestion for other radio heads out there.

rogersmellyonthetelly · 21/11/2011 18:49

Samsung nexus phone, iPad2, possibly a number plate for his car. Haven't decided yet

BornToFolk · 21/11/2011 18:52

Tickets to see Richard Herring, a Slanket, a set of juggling balls, a Costa Coffee voucher, a milk frother thing and some syrup so he can make fancy coffee at home and thus spend less at Costa Coffee and some comedy shower gel and a sponge.

I bought most of this online while slightly drunk on Saturday night so it's a slightly random selection of things. I might have to get him an Xbox game (what he actually wants!) to make up for it...

WorrisomeHeart · 21/11/2011 18:59

We're skint so have a £10 limit - I've done him a FlickBook from Bob books - it's using a video clip of DS (1yr) opening and closing a door and laughing. Very cool.

marriedinwhite · 21/11/2011 20:07

Blimey you lot must be worth a bomb! DH is getting a wallet - not a Paul Smith one for £140 - and some nice socks he likes with the coloured heels and toes from M&S (they are from the children). I might ask for some perfume.

Littlewoodsmuvvah · 21/11/2011 20:12

Ooh a chiminea is a good idea... DH loves burning stuff. :)

carabos · 21/11/2011 20:16

We usually buy ourselves a joint present, usually skiing holiday ( we do it on the cheap in mates apartment or get a last minute cheapie).
This year we are talking about an iPod dock. Sometimes we don't bother especially when skint.

purplepidjin · 21/11/2011 20:19

Some aftershave he swears is impossible to buy

I will be going all the way to House Of Fraser to purchase it Hmm

Guerlain's Habit Rouge sexy as fuck

glenthebattleostrich · 21/11/2011 20:21

My DH is getting:

Some slippers, a book and some pj's lounge pants from DD (as well as hand made goodies tat for his desk at work)

From me he's getting a gift voucher for computer geek stuff (I don't even pretend to understand), some fancy man face gunk, a hotel chocolat goodie box (for me to steal) and an hour and a half nekid time (if we can ofload dd somewhere). He'll probably also get some silly stocking fillers like lego pen, starwars silly bits etc.

To be fair he really spoils me at Christmas to make up for being a lazy git the rest of the year so I don't mind treating him.

mumofbumblebea · 21/11/2011 20:53

we're getting married just after christmas so we're getting each other wedding rings for christmas presents :) usually we just have a £50 limit tho. it's his birthday just before christmas so i'll probably just get him clothes (only time he does get any is when i buy them!)

fedupofnamechanging · 21/11/2011 21:04

I am buying dh LOTR on CD, so he can listen to it in the car, when he does lots of driving for work.

CurlyBoy · 21/11/2011 21:05

My wife has asked for some nice PJ's from M&S so that's what she's getting.
