Its odd but I've been signed up for the Christmas meetup for months and now that its almost here I seem to have had a revelation that, actually, I'd much prefer to keep my Mumsnet doings separate from real life. I don't know why but the appeal of the meetup has entirely dwindled for me so I have given my place away and shan't be meeting anyone after all.

Oh dear, I've just seen Biwi's post earlier on this thread . Yes, of course there are many Mumsnetters I'd like to meet and put a face to, but not so much to actually make it happen. I almost signed up for the Spring one but changed my mind about that too - but put it down to being in state cos my dad had just died. I think I've finally realised that I actually like Mumsnet for what it is, an online thing. Bit like you Jamie.

Would'nt want to meet anyone tbh. Most posters probably won't be as interesting in RL.
