But the last time I met someone from a messageboard I ended up deciding to spend the rest of my life with them, so probably best to tread carefully.

Oh and I'd loved to have met Beesimo and her lass and Grangran.

It's true, now I think about it. If I really wanted to meet anyone I would come on a meet.

I have met a few, and very nice people but I prefer my interactions online

I think also, that it would be embarrassing, as it has been already a few times, because instead of being able to project this image of someone quite clever [ok in my dreams] who may also be fairly attractive and so on, I'd then know that you knew exactly how unattractive and stupid I am IRL so it would blow apart my whole fake persona.

I can only COPE with myself in this place, which is why I am here instead of at some mums' coffee morning. I need to suspend disbelief

Jane - I agree with you - all the regulars on here are social misfits ( you are brave to admit you're one ) - which is why I also agree with cyb, always better to keep on-line interaction on-line - then the pretence can be kept up.
