Lovers of routine, reliable, grub loving and EXCELLENT (if somewhat predictable) in in bed Grin

Where would the world be without our strict adherence to rules and order?

OP posts:
happy2bhomely · 13/11/2011 20:35

slowestwilderbeast I'm paired with a libra. Seems to work well, been together 12 years.

MrsDistinctlyMintyMonetarism · 13/11/2011 20:47

Yup. 400 thread count sheets here too. And lots and lots of throws (DH now just rolls his eyes), and cushions and candles. Also am slightly obsessive about perfume - anyone else?

As I posted on the other Taurus thread my friends hate shopping with me as I walk around touching all the fabrics before really looking at the clothes.

I love the feel of silk and really good fake fur.

Cake, mmmmmm. I went on a patisserie course at Le Maison Blanc mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. It was quite nice. Grin

I am fat. Chubby fat at the moment mostly as a result of eating to cure homesickness.

Lists. I love lists. DH does not understand about the lists. He says I use lists as a method of procrastination.

MrsDistinctlyMintyMonetarism · 13/11/2011 20:48

Shit. I just wrote that like a list. FGS I am completely typical.

perfumedlife · 13/11/2011 21:45

Grin at your list MrsD

Cushions, candles and throws here too, a real cocoon, and the main reason I love the winter - cosy up guilt free.

LadyInPink · 13/11/2011 22:01

Another typical Taurean here too...

Super organised,
Lists for everything,
Love being at home - def the clean sheets feeling,
Only a bit stubborn though,
Love my food although perfect weight.

Decorating at the mo and am loving choosing fabrics and nick nacks for the lounge.

LikeACandleButNotQuite · 13/11/2011 22:20

Another one checking in! Though I didn't realise it was typical Taurean until reading through this thread with my jaw hanging.

I love/need:

  • lists
  • my bed
  • to always carry a pen
  • cake (esp. lemon flavour)
  • LOTS of sleep, at any time throughout the day
  • home, not a fan of going abroad

I am also:

  • stubborn
  • old before my time according to my party-loving mother and much younger sister
  • overweight according to my BMI, however am 5'2" and in size 10/12 clothes, so really don't understand. Maybe I have a heavy skeleton?
  • reliable and prompt

Married to a Leo. Due a LO who could be a Saggitarius which means we will clash (if my relationship with the Mother is anything to go by), or a Capricorn, which I don't really know much about yet.

SlinkyB · 13/11/2011 23:05

Have been reading more of these, whilst smiling and nodding in agreement! Def love my bed/sleep; could sleep on a washing line, any time, night or day.

Am fairly materialistic, but agree it's much more to do with quality than quantity.

Very loyal and steadfast. Extremely pedantic (anyone else?!) and hate being late.

Partner is Cancerian, so his sensitivity is juxtapose with my complete lack of tact 'directness' Grin.

LadyRabbit · 13/11/2011 23:12

Another stubborn Taurean checking in here. Food obsessed too, but thankfully quite keen on running so not quite the lardarse I would be otherwise, but I can see the faint beginnings of bingo wings so I reckon I've got another five years before the chocolate and wine (did I mention wine? Wine Wine )
get me. Married to one as well. We practically NEVER leave the house.
Isn't blue meant to be our favourite colour?
And aren't we uber creative too?
And aren't we meant to be the BEST sign??;o)

LadyRabbit · 13/11/2011 23:14

P.S. Grew up in a household of AIR signs, I just don't get those people. (Aquarians and Geminis). They just don't make any sense. and they're so messy....

CheerfulYank · 13/11/2011 23:23

I adore blue and am extremely creative in a think-outside-the-box-kind-of-way, but am also very practical if that makes sense.

And people don't believe me, but I really could fall asleep at any time. Really!

ConstantlyCooking · 14/11/2011 09:02

obviously a Taurean with this MN name!
Married to a Virgo with 2 Taurean DC.
We eat a lot in this house!

Emski76 · 14/11/2011 18:16

Slinky, yes I'm extremely pedantic, was discussing this with work colleague today. Am very stubborn but I like to say that's determination,

CheerfulYank · 14/11/2011 19:36

With me my stubborn nature manifests itself as patience. I work with children and teens with behavioral issues (well, it's been the same child for years now, but I used to work with teens) and my colleagues are always amazed that I can withstand the longest tantrum, or that I can make a decision and not be wavered until my instructions have been followed. They think I am the most patient person on earth, but really it's just me thinking "I will not be moved, I will not be moved." :o

MrsDistinctlyMintyMonetarism · 14/11/2011 20:40

Reminds me of my interview answer for 'what is your worst quality?' to which I reply 'stubborness which I think is really semantics for tenacious'.

I should add that I'm Taurus with lots of other stuff in Sagittarius. This has the effect of making me a confused little puppy.

CheerfulYank · 14/11/2011 21:09

I always say that I'm a perfectionist :o Which is not true, but sounds great.

My singing voice is terrible but my speaking voice rather good. :) Well, probably not to you....all flat and Mid-Westerny and American! But I won lots of speech competitions when I was in school!

saltnvinigarcrips · 14/11/2011 22:20

So nice to know I'm not the only one who makes lists after I've done the jobs just so I can cross my jobs off to get a sense of achievement Grin. I love wine and cosy nights in with DH watching the latest series of whatever we've downloaded. Also obsessed with food, eating it and denying myself it when on a diet fad. Love my red wine and bedroom activity - although more for lazy sex these days after having DS. Always happiest at home with my family but love dancy boozy nights out too. Feel like i'm advertising myself here but not sure what for exactly but love this thread !

DarknessSoothes · 14/11/2011 23:43

See I have been sitting here going. Oh I am so not a typical taurean. Except I have a day by day almost to the hour plan for the next 3 weeks. 5 sheets of lists to make sure nothing gets forgotten. BlushBlush just leaves one question. why the feck do I never stick to a plan? just can't. feel like i have to rebel against the list HmmBlush

However, creativity wise I do well. love building stuff, crafty, used to sing in choirs, recently told i had fabulous eyes. I am beginning to think that perhaps I am more typical taurean then I thought.

Dsis is an air sign and it explains alot. we will never understand each other. Just one question why was scoprian such a bad mix relatiohship wise?

MrsDistinctlyMintyMonetarism · 15/11/2011 06:37
CheerfulYank · 15/11/2011 06:45

You are welcome to it; it's served me well. :)

MissKittyEliza · 15/11/2011 15:43

Ooooh! I love Taureans.

I'm a Virgo ( gonna get me a thread going) and my mum's a taurus, three of my five (serious relationships) loves have been Taureans. Great people.

minouminou · 15/11/2011 15:55

Ha ha.....I'm rallying the Arians....we're gonna come and steal your lists and ruffle your soft throws.

CheerfulYank · 15/11/2011 18:57
DartsAgain · 15/11/2011 19:34

The very typical Taurean in our household (DP) is busy watching the Simpsons right now, so I'll chuck him into your mix myself. According to the horoscopes our relationship should not work, as I'm a very typical Libran, but hey, we've almost made 25 years, so not bad going!
