queueing outside Greggs at lunch time to load up on sausage rolls, fruit shoots and coke and scoff them in the street. Wonder if their mums know?

diabolo · 08/11/2011 17:24

Aren't "posh" kids allowed to like the same stuff as other school children?

worraliberty · 08/11/2011 17:24

So what?

I wonder how you'd feel if you logged on to their website and found your lunchtime diet listed?

Weird thread...

AFuckingKnackeredWoman · 08/11/2011 17:25

Ah coz only poor chavs eat greggs.

Sirzy · 08/11/2011 17:26

Surely they should go to Waterfields instead? ;)

Avantia · 08/11/2011 17:27

perhaps they would prefer chips = like the one on your shoulder ? Hmm

Hulababy · 08/11/2011 17:27

Chidren are children. They'll still chose a quick unhealthy take away to school dinners given the chance.

Not sure it is "news" as such though, and not sure where the aibu bit comes into it either.

sozzledchops · 08/11/2011 17:27

Just made me smile as until I found mumsnet I didn't realise the words Greggs, sausage rolls and fruit shoots could be so contentious. Looked like they were enjoying them anyway.

OP posts:
ShatnersBassoon · 08/11/2011 17:27

Perhaps the Greggs near Marlborough College sells Swan Steak Bakes.

I'm not even slightly surprised that children from wealthy families eat what other children eat, and it's less interesting than it is shocking.

LineRunnerSaturnaliaCometh · 08/11/2011 17:30

I love Greggs. Seriously.

The cheese and onion slices are essential gluttoning.

fickencharmer · 08/11/2011 17:30

we should set the chairwoman of Norwich City FC onto them

diabolo · 08/11/2011 17:30

Blimey! My DS is at a private school, perhaps I'd better stop him watching the X-Factor, eating pizza, playing on his X-box and generally being a normal 12 year old, in case people feel the need to comment about it!

fickencharmer · 08/11/2011 17:31

to be serious perhaps their mums did not know. (they will now)

AFuckingKnackeredWoman · 08/11/2011 17:31

More importantly though...Is the festive bake available yet?

worraliberty · 08/11/2011 17:31

I do love Greggs but their sausage rolls aren't a patch on the freshly made ones my local chippy sells.

AtYourCervix · 08/11/2011 17:33

Marlborough has a much nicer Greggs than the rest of the country. Their cheese pasties are definitely much classier than the ones in Glasgow.

usualsuspect · 08/11/2011 17:33

OH noes, were they mixing with the poor people Shock

sozzledchops · 08/11/2011 17:42

A better class of Greggs than Glasgow - is that possible though always preferred Aulds myself. Next time I go to Marlborough for a nice lunch maybe I'll try Greggs then and save a few pennies.

OP posts:
AtYourCervix · 08/11/2011 17:44

also better than them clogging up the naice cafes.

soandsosmummy · 08/11/2011 17:44

wonder if they had one of these too Biscuit?

What a pointless thread. What do you think they should be eating OP? If they were queuing up at a prestigious restaurant for a three course lunch would you be posting a thread lamenting that they are doing nothing for class cohesion and they have too much pocket money

Hmm
MatureUniStudent · 08/11/2011 17:48

I'd be seriously hacked off if I was paying school fees each term for Marlborough, that were equal to the average salary of the most of us, and my little darlings were not sat eating every flipping meal put before them in the Refractory. Seriously annoyed.

SecretNutellaFix · 08/11/2011 17:49

Afuckingknackeredwoman- they certainly are. And they are delicious.

AFuckingKnackeredWoman · 08/11/2011 17:51

Excellent!

I will be straight to greggs after the school run tomorrow then

grovel · 08/11/2011 17:53

At least they will be doing some sport 5 days a week.

AtYourCervix · 08/11/2011 17:54
