I am really UPSET by this!
I work all weekend, and DP has to feed the kids. He is a USELESS git cook, and refuses to let me teach him. He gives them FROZEN JUNK FOOD and I have to accept this. BUT, he has gone TOO FAR!
I came home from work yesterday, and there, in MY OVEN, were GOD DAMNED, never to be event located within a hundred yards of my general vicinity, CRISPY PANCAKES!!
I'm not sure if I can get over this, what should I do??

ditavonteesed · 07/11/2011 14:03

squeakytoy · 07/11/2011 14:03

ripstheirthroatoutliveupstairs · 07/11/2011 14:03

Add some oven chips and a tin of toms for a lovely, tasty, crowd pleasing dinner.

TheVermiciousKnid · 07/11/2011 14:03

LTB!

Bugsy2 · 07/11/2011 14:03

Can't work out if this is a funny & we are all supposed to say - Crispy Pancakes - how very dare he? Divorce him forthwith! Or if you are actually serious?!

iliketea · 07/11/2011 14:03

mmmm crispy pancakes - I didn't know you could still buy those!

YABVVU (unless they were the cheesy ones obviously, in which case, YANBU).

3 marks out of 10

mnistooaddictive · 07/11/2011 14:05

DH and I love crispy pancakes- far too good to waste on children who don't appreciate them!

banana87 · 07/11/2011 14:06

You are joking, right? Frozen junk food? Divorce?

MsVestibule · 07/11/2011 14:07

Mmm, crispy pancakes. I'm a bit suspicious of the mince ones (99p for 4, can't be the best quality really), but all that saturated fat oozing out of the cheese ones. Stop it, you're making me salivate.

susiedaisy · 07/11/2011 14:08

Lazy bastard make him sleep in the sofa!!

PeneloPeePitstop · 07/11/2011 14:09

Should have given pop tarts as pudding...

Saggyoldclothcatpuss · 07/11/2011 14:09

I am a qualified chef! I am deadly serious! Wink I can cope with crispy chicken, frozen pizza and oven chips, but crispy pancakes really are beyond the pale!

Junk? No they are retro, you just don't get it Grin

LoveBeingAFirework · 07/11/2011 14:10

ditavonteesed · 07/11/2011 14:11

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm pop tarts. crap am stuck in house as head covvered in henna and cling film, anyone want to go to the shop for me?

Saggyoldclothcatpuss · 07/11/2011 14:12

I cannot teach DP nobchops anything! The minute I try, he goes all defensive and prickly, because I'm a girlie and I can't know anything that he doesn't!

OP posts:
Grumpla · 07/11/2011 14:13

Oh god I WANT POP TARTS NOW!!!!

Yanbu about the crispy pancakes though.

NettoSuperstar · 07/11/2011 14:13

I had q vesta chow mein last week and it was lovely Grin

susiedaisy · 07/11/2011 14:14

Beans on toast with cheese on the top quick, cheap, and hardly any washing up, I once left the beans and bread out on unit for exH to do evening meal when I was at work, and the lazy git still went through the drive through at macdonalds

dreamingbohemian · 07/11/2011 14:15

What are crispy pancakes?

Kayzr · 07/11/2011 14:16

Oh I love crispy pancakes. I think we'll be having them tonight if I can find some.

deviladvocate · 07/11/2011 14:18

Yep, no question that's a deal breaker Grin

Perhaps he could consider outsourcing the feeding of your children to professionals in your absence (even the local softplay could do better than crispy pancakes!)

Maybe sign him up for cooking classes and buy him some sharp knives to encourage his new hobby.
