to still use the brush I dropped down the public toilet?

I just dropped my brush down a public toilet. WIBU to take it home wrapped in paper towels, pop it in boiling water for an hour, then carry on using it? It's a bloody good brush!!!

Was the brush stupidly expensive? I'd just get a new one.

wash it. make sure you've removed any visible dirt or deposits and that it's been hot enough to be sterilised. Job done.

It'll be cleaner than it ever was. Probably packed originally by a syphillitic sixteen year old.

YANBU. Wash it, or boil it, or stick it in either the washing machine machine or dishwasher. It'll be fine.

I'm assuming it didn't hit any solids in the pan when it landed in there though. If it did, then flush it away.
