to still use the brush I dropped down the public toilet?

I just dropped my brush down a public toilet. WIBU to take it home wrapped in paper towels, pop it in boiling water for an hour, then carry on using it? It's a bloody good brush!!!

nope, washing machine, good as new if you can forget it, but presumably you put your hand in to retrieve it so if you can forgive your hand after a wash you can forgive your brush Grin

I'd chuck it in the dishwasher then carry on using it. You're only using it on hair, not putting it in your mouth!

What's wrong with using the dishwasher? It gets hot enough to sterilise bottles etc so any germs would be killed off.

I think I would really really want to boil it and use it again, but it would be useless because I don't think I would be able to bring myself use it knowing where it had been.
