I'm shit at presents. I'm thinking this will:

a. save the planet

b. be just as useful as a goat

c. provide much hilarity over lunch

d. educate them

e. they'll thank me eventually

it will be mooncups or socks.

Socks

FutureNannyOgg · 31/10/2011 22:27

What if they have one already?

hellhasnofury · 31/10/2011 22:28

What if they're menopausal?

auntiepicklebottom2 · 31/10/2011 22:29

it is flawd as you will not know what size to get...imagine getting someone a b size when they are actual an a

GypsyMoth · 31/10/2011 22:29

Mooncup!!

MurderBloodstabsandgore · 31/10/2011 22:29

socks.

It's not for you to decide that they should vac-pac their period, no matter how brilliant it is.

GypsyMoth · 31/10/2011 22:30

Cup size, mug size, bucket size

Ah I would be so disappointed to receive a mooncup!

Himalaya · 31/10/2011 22:30

i'd get them one each rather than just the one Grin

Depends who they open their presents in front of and how they would feel about that...

NorfolkBroad · 31/10/2011 22:30

I suppose it depends on your friends. We were talking about them at work the other day and opinion was divided, it was either "mmm, that is interesting" or "Oh god that is vile". Plus, don't they do them in different sizes? That might cause offence!!!!

valiumredhead · 31/10/2011 22:30

I'd be delighted with one! Grin

Bossybritches22 · 31/10/2011 22:30

Socks- YAB terribly U ! Grin

But it would be remembered for years to come!

LaFilleSurLePont · 31/10/2011 22:31

I'd rather have the socks. WTF? would not begin to cover my reaction if a friend gave me a Mooncup for Christmas.

PyrotechnicsAtYourCervix · 31/10/2011 22:31

size is usually pretty bloody obvious TBH. the DCs nagging at the ankes usually gives it away.

i'm fairly certain from discussions during family gatherings they haven't yet discovered the delights of the mooncup. they think i'm a wee bit odd for my evangelising about them.

the post-menopausal will be getting socks. or slippers.

Primafacie · 31/10/2011 22:31

You are right, you are shit at presents :o

I'd rather have socks.

Or chocolate.

SacreLao · 31/10/2011 22:31

Lol, what about those who have gone through the menopause?

How would you know what size to buy them?
Can't imagine it's the most favourable present but at least it's unique.

I'd go with the socks.

jasper · 31/10/2011 22:32

gross, and hilarious.
Dont do it.
Give them all a bottle of wine

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 31/10/2011 22:32

I don't think that something that goes up your chuff is a particularly suitable way of expressing love and appreciation at Christmas.

SacreLao · 31/10/2011 22:32

cervix Not always, you use the bigger size after children yes BUT if you had C-secs with all children and have never given birth vaginally than you may well still need the smaller size.

PyrotechnicsAtYourCervix · 31/10/2011 22:33

also DD has finally started her periods and asked me to ge her some tampons. should i get her a mooncup too? i think i will.

OP posts:
FruitChute · 31/10/2011 22:34

If you think they'd all like one then go for it. But if there are any who might think it's gross then not a great present. I think there's only 2 sizes - size a for those who are under 25/haven't had a vaginal birth and size b for everyone else those with a chuff like the Channel Tunnel. Should be easy enough to get the correct size!

PyrotechnicsAtYourCervix · 31/10/2011 22:34

i know who has and hasn't squeezed a baby out vaginally.

OP posts:
CurrySpice · 31/10/2011 22:34

I would think "WTF" if I got one for a present. I mean, you wouldn't gift pack a packet of tampons would you? It's just not gift material

squeakyfreakytoy · 31/10/2011 22:34

if someone bought you a box of tampax for xmas, would you be happy... I damn well wouldnt! Grin
