I don't like the word 'bitch', I find it offensive (and not much offends me, trust me).

I see it increasingly in AIBU, usually on a thread about another mum who has upset the OP by not inviting their dc to a party or some such abhorrent crime .

Within two or three posts, you get 'She's obviously just a nasty bitch..' etc.

How can you say that about somebody you know next to nothing about? And why use such misogynistic language?

Yes, "potty mouth" way superior to bitch. I hope it is ok for a non-Scottish person to adopt it.

No no I wouldn't use it on MN ( although I think it about a few posters ) and in RL I'd only use it to describe a certain type of woman -ie; 'OMG that woman is a complete bitch' - sometimes it's the only word that fits.

I was malboro lights too...........i miiiiiiiiiiiiss them. Also gave up to get pregnant and am now 38 weeks :) but am determined not to start again after he's born. They were my friends though :(

I am a moo mummy, I breastfed my first for nearly two years and then gave birth and am still breastfeeding my 2nd dc who is two (and she is determined she is not ready to give up!) so it's really helped me NOT smoke! And now, I do think you can really tell by people's skin if they smoke and that helps me. Although I miss lazing around in coffee shops and pubs smoking endless Fags!
