So I had a teeny weeny strop and binned a few of my Facebook friends. One has PMed me to ask why. The truthful answer is 'Because you are a Sun-reading fuckwitted bigot, however amusing you can be in the flesh, and you are one of those people who is forever reposting lame shit like 'OMG sign this petition to get the nonces of Facebook, if you don't put this on your status you must be a nonce yourself'.' I have sent a wussy, waffly PM back as this is someone I have known for ages, along the lines of it being easy to ignore different viewpoints when you socialise but less so on Facebook, and best wishes to you matey....

I find the business updates most annoying:
"Just to let you know for the third fucking time today that our new lines are in. Book early, don't miss out."
Yeah thanks for that, I'll keep it in mind.

I deleted my account and don't miss it. Much more time for mn, twitter, and emailing/calling real friends.

I'm too cool to mention how much I'm too cool for Facebook.

buggerlugs82 I think I'm going to do the opposite. I stopped using FB after I was railroaded into accepting friend requests from retirement-age family members who inevitably cramped my style. I think I'm going to post inane drivel, include the word fuck as often as possible and sit back and watch them de-friend me in horror. or I would if I had the balls to do it

I still quite like it as so many of my friends are too far away to see much of IRL, so it's nice to know what they are up to.
