I like sausage rolls. Lovely, flaky, greasy sausage rolls. I eat them, I am going to keep on eating them and I'm going to give them to my DC. Even Greggs ones.

DS is actually made entirely of petrol station 3-for-£1 sausage rolls, if you consider how many I ate while pregnant :( I'm a bit freaked out by the meat, and it completely goes against my usual CIWF-guided purchasing, but they're just so gooooood. Having said that, though, Pret ones with a little bit of chutney in them take it to a whole new level.

When I was young, my Mam used to have her Cold Winter Day Special - a Greggs Sausage roll, slap bang in the middle of a bowl, with Tomato soup poured over! Now, I do not like tomato soup, but can actually have it when it is poured over a sausage roll! My dad, well known for his thriftyness, will actually travel from Sunderland (where there are many many greggs) to a Greggs in Newcastle somewhere, that is kind of like a knocked off Greggs..it is where they send all the wonky sausage rolls etc and sell them cheap!

Bakers where I used to live (NW) used to do butter pies.

For those of you who don't know that's mashed potato (made with butter, natch). In a pie. Mmmmmmmm Grin

You can get lasagne pies in the freezer section in asda.
