I'll admit I'm bored and just want a bit of interaction with alive people

But phelbotmist is a bit of a daft word

OP posts:
LadyThumb · 06/10/2011 22:47

Enmity - because every time I say it it comes out "emnity".

aldiwhore · 06/10/2011 22:49

Flannel.

tillyfernackerpants · 06/10/2011 23:17

My MN name, its something my mum used to call me. Have never come across anybody who's heard it before!!

But aside from that 'discombobulated' always makes me smile

ash6605 · 06/10/2011 23:22

Tilly are you from the North east by any chance? That words used a lot up here Hmm

manicbmc · 06/10/2011 23:22

Damn, I was going to say 'flannel' Grin

So I shall say 'objectivity', as it's usually followed by some utter wank.

BagofHolly · 06/10/2011 23:26

I'm another panty hater.

Can't BEAR "suckle"! Ugh ugh ugh!

Signet2012 · 06/10/2011 23:32

pom pom
blossom
possom

mosenwellwee.

Utter shit words... pom pom i mean why?!

TruthSweet · 06/10/2011 23:33

Tilly - my mum says FernackerpanG (sp??) and Fannyb'gaslight (I know its Fanny BY Gaslight but that's how she says it). She was Welsh and is now Surrey/Sussex (spoke Welsh as a child but had it kicked out of her on moving to Surrey in the 50's).

I really don't like fermented, secretary, celebrity and fanangle

tillyfernackerpants · 06/10/2011 23:34

ash, no from Yorkshire originally, my mum was from North West

BagofHolly · 06/10/2011 23:35

Signet, what about Bon Bon?

tillyfernackerpants · 06/10/2011 23:35

truth I wonder if its a variation then, my mum's from Chester, v close to Welsh border?!

WilsonFrickett · 06/10/2011 23:35

Spork. Daft word, daft piece of cutlery.

juneybean · 06/10/2011 23:38

Woggle.

TruthSweet · 06/10/2011 23:39

Mum was from Mid-Glamorgan so she's a Valley Girl. Not so sure how close it is to Chester as my geography/sense of bearing is legendarily bad.

Signet2012 · 06/10/2011 23:40

bon bon is shit too.

Do people just go - "We will call it a Pom"
- "Pom is a bit shit"
- " Pom..... Pom.... Ah! That ll do!"

Hmm
Portofino · 06/10/2011 23:41

We use flobulate in our house a lot, as in make a chilli and leave it to flobulate overnight as it always tastes better.

Dongle is my fave. I nearly died the afternoon we were sat in a serious negotiation and my Belgian colleague said " I just can't have my engineers sat fiddling with their dongles all afternoon, we need a proper application".

Salmotrutta · 06/10/2011 23:48

Pedagogy is a stupid word.

So is spatula

And geegaws

... oh and I concur with "slacks" being an utterly vile word. My all time most hated.

Claw3 · 06/10/2011 23:59

when people say 'nom nom', not strictly a word, but bloody daft.

What kind of word is nom nom, im really enjoying my food so i will say nom nom.

manicbmc · 07/10/2011 00:01

Best made up word ever - mephipulate Grin

It's from a science programme spoof called 'look around you'

TheSydenhamSet · 07/10/2011 00:10

discombobulate ~ eh?

nom nom makes me criiinge.

BelinaTheChicken · 07/10/2011 00:11

Confabulation, love it

And agree with spoon, weird word

startail · 07/10/2011 00:14

Scort is indeed very silly as or culottes and gilets.

Claw3 · 07/10/2011 00:18

Nom nomers, usually say yummy too, another daft word, if you are over the age of 10.

Discombobulate, is a word i have never heard anyone use, which probably says more about the company i keep, than the word actually. I hear nom nom and yummy!

MotherMucca · 07/10/2011 00:19

This is about DAFT WORDS, not annoying words

Most words seem daft, if you repeat them, don't they?

Pedunckle.

A person's head is a peduncle apparently. Or maybe it's their neck. Whatever, silly word.
