Scenario: group of 40-something friends during girls night in. One, who has a new man in her life, admits he is a TV STARRRRRRRRR (actually he has a small, but regular, part in a popular TV drama, but none of us get out much and so are very impressed).

Conversation quickly turns to ?stars we have snogged? and having drunk over a bottle of wine in the spirit of friendship I ?fessed up that many many years ago (1984 to be exact) I snogged the face off Fish from Marillion. {bestillmybeatingheart} smilie.

Deathly hush ? and to a woman the next comment was? ?WHO?? followed by gales of laughter.

AIBU to think I should deserve some respect for my youthful slapperish indiscretions (they were No 5 in the Charts I?ll have you know!)

And in answer to your OP, YADBU. Your friends don't know how Fish is? Ditch them immediately.

I'm impressed. I like Fish's music although IMO he has zero sex appeal (but that doesn't affect his songs!). Also love Marillion (on the whole prefer their post-Fish music) and would snog H who is the lead singer of Marillion now (if I were single and had the opportunity, ahem...)

On the subject of Fish, bizarrely, my husband's friend tried to sell fish to him. (A fishmonger) So, not guppies, but cod.

I read the emails that Fish sends out and it is bizarre how much he is into his gardening!

I had coffee with Margenta Devine. But I didn't snog her or anything....

I snogged one of the members of Let Loose, crap 90s boy band. I can't remember which one though.
