For example, I weigh about a stone more than I did 8 years ago, but I have not been pregnant or had any children in that time.

I am 3 or 4 pounds heavier than I was after DS1- 25 years ago and DS 2 - 6 years ago.

I did have a bit of a chubby phase, for a couple of years in the middle, when I was about a stone heavier.

I had my bmi measured a few weeks ago, it was 22, so supposedly "the right weight", whatever that means.

MissPenteuth · 05/10/2011 12:43

I'm a few lbs heavier than pre-pregnancy (DD is 19mo). Was 8st 4lb then, about 8st 9lb now. I'm happyish with my weight but all the excess is on my tummy, and the skin there is a bit saggy too. I'd prefer if the weight was more evenly distributed!

ballroomblitz · 05/10/2011 12:48

flutates from 8.5 to 9 stone. Was the same before ds 4 years ago, though he was born under 3lb

ballroomblitz · 05/10/2011 12:49

fluctuates

8stone 9lbs when I got married - which was a bit skinny for me, i'm 5ft 9".
9 stone was a good weight before children and I didn't put on a lot of weight while I was pregnant first time ( didn't have scales, so didn't weigh myself!)

But with the 2nd pregnancy, I've just never got back to feeling slim like before, hips wider, comfy padding across tummy... Over the summer I got up to 9st10lbs which is the heaviest I've been. It shifts if I eat really carefully, but it seems to stabilise at 9st 6lbs and I'm not going to start running marathons to get lower as I reckon one hour fast dog walking and pilates once a week should be enough!

I'm not sure it's to do with having children, just metabolism changing slightly as you get older, I'm 39. DC are 10 and 7.

nethunsreject · 05/10/2011 12:56

I'm a stone less. My two are 5yrs and 16mths.

Bangtastic · 05/10/2011 12:59

I am 5 and a half stone less than when I fell pregnant with DD who is now 2.3.

theginganinja · 05/10/2011 13:01

I was just under 7 1/2 stone before ds but I am short, so that is not as skinny as it sounds. Have had 2 children, ds 18, dd 8, am now 8 stone 3. I am much fitter now though, although I have never dieted, I'm just fairly active, I do eat fairly healthily as I'm terrified of having osteoporosis.

My body has changed quite a lot though (have been going through a premature menopause since dd was born), I never had norks until I had ds, they've got progressively bigger, waist is the same, hips disappearing Sad. Never thought I'd miss those, turns out I do.

theginganinja · 05/10/2011 13:02

Forgot to add, am 39.

catus · 05/10/2011 13:13

Hi! I'm 33, DS is 14 months. Before him, my weight was 48kg (size 6-8) and now I don't know but my size has gone up to 8-10. It's lovely to finally have a bit of curves!

RockStockIsMovingBackToEngland · 05/10/2011 13:15

Before I had DD1 18 years ago I weighed about 8¾ stone. After DD2 and DS arrived within 3 years of DD1, I weighed about 8 stone. Went up to about 9-9½ stons depending on everything and nothing Confused over the next 12 years.

Got pregnant just over 3 years ago weighing 9½ stone, when DD3 was born I weighed 9 stone (yes I lost weight through the pregnancy) and still flicker between 9 and 9½. I am now 41, 5'7".

NightLark · 05/10/2011 14:06

I was a skinny little thing when I first left home - 7st 10lbs at 5'6''.
That crept up and just before I was pg with DS (age 34) I weighed around 9st, with an ambition to get back down to 8st 7lb.

HA.

After 3DC and now aged 40 I am stubbornly 10 stone.

DC3 is 13 weeks old and I have started going to keep fit classes, and will start running again ASAP. At 40 I do feel if I don't do something NOW, I'm always going to be moaning on about 'when I was skinny'.
