CointreauVersial · 29/09/2011 17:55

I'm 44 and have three DCs (11, 10 and 8).

Before kids I weighed over 10 stone 7. I seemed to lose weight with every pregnancy, and ended up at about 9 stone 10.

Middle-aged spread then pushed it back up again until I gave up carbs and started running a year ago; I now weigh about 9 stone 2 which is the lightest I have ever been since I was a student. Yay!

QuietNinjaFotherMucker · 29/09/2011 17:57

Was 8 and a half stone pre ds, went down to 8 stone with morning all day sickness and put on 3 stone by end of pregnancy. Most of which was water. Was probably about 9 stone not too long after he was born which crept up to 10 stone due to too much chocolate and snacking.
I am now 9 stone 2 (yay go me) with eating smaller portions and not snacking on chocolate all day long. I've also started exercising which I didn't really do before and have recently started zumba and netball which I'm hoping will get me losing a bit more weight. Ds is nearly 22 months.

CombineArvester · 29/09/2011 18:04

About 8 -8.5 stone before and after, children are (just) preschool.

Don't weigh myself much though. I walk everywhere, if my clothes are getting tight I walk faster and cut down on portion size.

ChrissyHynde · 29/09/2011 18:06

My youngest is 7 and 6 years ago when I went back to work I weighed 10 stone 5 lb, at the moment I weighed 12 stone 1 lb with it steadily coming off - at my heaviest I was 12 stone 10lb. I'm 47 now and trying to reeducate myself into good eating habits 'cos its only my over eating that led to the huge weight gain.

hillyhilly · 29/09/2011 18:14

I used to be almost 11 stone (I'm 5'4) occasionally getting down nearer to 10 with lots of effort.
My kids are 6 and 4 and I now consistently weigh a llittle over 9.5 stone.

I am 42 but put it down to the lifestyle change, I used to spend many many hours in the car or at meetings or sat at a desk, now I am a SAHM who literally only sits down to eat lunch. In addition, now DS is at nursery I have time to do proper exercise (before that I walked miles when he was in the buggy) and I eat better and drink (a little) less.

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 29/09/2011 18:17

I used to be 7.5 stone in my late twenties before I had DC1. Now I'm 42 and hitting the 9 stone mark after having DC3 4 years ago.

I'm eating too much (have a penchant for cake) and don't exercise nearly enough, so I'm larger than I'd like to be but more importantly I'm nowhere near as fit as I would like to be.

Less MNetting would be a start...

cathkidstonbag · 29/09/2011 18:18

Pre-kids, age 24 - 11 stone.

Now aged 37 have 3 kids - 13,9 and 4 and I weigh 8 stone 2.

lookingfoxy · 29/09/2011 18:21

pre ds, I was about 11 stone
Now 6 years later Im 10 stone

Just much busier with less time to eat and less money to waste on booze and takeaways

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 29/09/2011 18:27

Pre-kids; 9 st 5.

Humph, I lost weight when pg with dd as - no booze, healthy eating, felt sick all the time so went off loads of foods! - so when she was born was about 10.5 stone. Now after ds am 13.5 stone and it's ALL down to my habit of comfort eating - wine and crisps in the eves after kids in bed and all my jobs are done. Disgusting and horrendous but am getting my head in the right place to lose it.

ouryve · 29/09/2011 18:50

Was 11st10 9 years ago before having DS1. Settled at 13st 6 months after he was born. Eventually got down to 10 st 7 then got pregnant again. DS2 is now 5. Got down to just over 9 stone, last year, which is where I want to be, but have put a stone back on, since then, for various reasons (including a love of cake and wine)

MrsVidic · 29/09/2011 19:12

11 stone 5 b4, 2 dc aged 2 and 7 weeks- I weigh 10 stone 5 now basically gone from size 12 to 10.

FairhairedandFrustrated · 29/09/2011 19:15

I weighed 8st 2lb when I fell pg with dd (now 10)

I weighed 9st 7lb when I fell pg with ds (now 6)

I went up gradually to 11st 11.5lb before I joined Slimming World.

I now weigh 7st 13lb with it fluctuating between that and 8st 3lb.

FairhairedandFrustrated · 29/09/2011 19:18

Cocktail Queen you could be describing me!

In my first pregnancy I had hyperemisis and dropped to 7st. But after dd was born I ate for Ireland!! Same as after ds (I was hospitalised with hyperemisis during that pregnancy) and after he was born reached almost 12st.

WHen I decided to lose the weight, I really went for it! But as you say, my head needed to be in the game! :)

cheeseandmarmitesandwich · 29/09/2011 19:41

Pre-kids I generally fluctuated between 9.7 and 10 stone (though I distinctly remember I was 9.5, skinny and gorgeous on my wedding day Grin) went up to 13.5 at 9 months pregnant with DD1. Finally got back down to 10.5 when DD1 was 15 months, then got pregnant again. Back up to 13.5 stone at 9 months pregnant!

Now the DDs are 3.5 and 15 months, I weigh 10.2. I found each time I lost 1 stone immediately by giving birth, lost another 1 stone pretty easily within about 8 weeks despite living on cake but the last 1.5 stone took a looong time, just very slow and steady weight loss of around 2lbs a month. To be fair I haven't been trying that hard though!

BeaOnSea · 29/09/2011 19:48

Apart from when I had an eating disorder in my teens and my weight was dangerously low - I have always been around the 8.5 stone mark.

I was about half a stone heavier after DC were born but I soon lost it as I was run off my feet. I don't drive so I walked everywhere with the pram.

DC are now 19 & 16. I put on about 10lbs with an early menopause but this is gradually reducing - albeit it very, very slowly

Shutupanddrive · 29/09/2011 19:54

I'm 11.7
I need to lose at least a stone, I'm 35
At my lightest i was just under 9st (before dc's) and at my heaviest I was 12.8!!
I need to lose at least a stone to get back into my size 12 jeans, then I will be happy :)
I'll start Monday (again)

Shutupanddrive · 29/09/2011 19:55

Oh and dc's are almost 6yrs and 17months

headfairy · 29/09/2011 19:57

I'm about a stone heavier... oldest is 4, but I'm over 40 now, lifestyle changes have accounted for some of that too.

I weighed myself the day before dd was born and I was 5 stone heavier than I am now Shock And she was only a piddling 6lbs Blush

Bellavita · 29/09/2011 19:58

My boys are 14 and 12.

I was size 10 pre DS's and still size 10 now, only maybe a bit wobblier... I had big babies and I am only small so huge bumps, skin not as firm.

Sidalee7 · 29/09/2011 19:59

I am approx half a stone heavier than pre dc's. (have 2). usually spot on 8stone. (am petite frame).

I am convinced its because I am a non smoker now (dc1 unexpected, gave up post pregnancy test!)

I am definately fitter now too, I can run without my lungs packng in!

fatlazymummy · 29/09/2011 20:04

My pre baby [pre ex husband as well] weight was 7.5 stones at my lightest.
My weight in the weeks following my last birth was around 10 stones. I am now a lot heavier which is nothing to do with pregnancy or childbirth though.
