does anyone else think that it is unacceptable for a classroom full of 7 and 8 year old boys and girls get changed into thier swimming costumes in the same classroom?

Y5 and Y6 change separately, younger ones don't at DDs school.
I know some Y4 (8-9) girls would like to and this is,as people have said, the age used for public pools.
I know space and supervision are a real problem in many schools, but I was surprised they changed together because we never did.
Only now do I realise that was unusual and happened because our primary was the old secondary school and had proper high school changing rooms.

I don't have an issue with the boys seeing the girls and vice versa- issues can still be the same in same sex, open changing rooms. It's not a gender issue for me. There should be some way of allowing the kids to change in private.
