Nope-was to save washing I presume, otherwise Mum would have to wash 2 pairs a day. Pretty horrible though.

my friend had a docs appt, and very carefully put on her brand new bra, knowing that she would have to remove her top. then under her skirt she had knickers (thin, cotton,) tights, and over-tights (BIG industrial strength hold-your stomach in type).

imagine her horror when the doc needed to see below her waistband & asked her to remove her skirt!
