You can keep your tights or stockings up using suspenders...

personally i hate tights they are smelly yokes (remembers going through drawer of pop socks belonging to me ma helping her to try to find a pair ....shudders)

anyhoo its the extra lines they create its impossible to find a pair that stops comfortably and your own knicker line.

I used to do that years ago, in the days before tights came in long lengths. It was the only way they would stay up. Not done it for, oooh, 30 years though.

If you wear a pair to stop your tights falling down, you'll have to wear another pair to stop the outer pants falling down (unless you want to end up like frazzle's friend), then another pair ad infinitum. Before you know it you'll have a bum the size of Bournemouth.

Yes, one under, one over. They're only thin knickers though and it does help keep my tights up! Have never noticed its made my bum look bigger though.

Even when I buy new tights they dont stay up and this fixes it perfectly!

It occurrs to me that if the knockers were tight, wearing multiple pairs might make your bum look smaller.

It does depend on the thickness of ones knickers though. I wouldn't, say for instance, wear my manky old thick period knickers. It would make my arse look huge!

I thought I was the only one who actually did this. Even my nice tights go saggy at the crotch unless I wear a pair of pants Superman-style on top to keep them up. Works brilliantly, bum doesn't look any bigger, and much less wobble.

So, although I don't have a definitive answer about the bum-size thing, I wasn't sure what period knickers were and went to do a MN search...and got sidetracked onto something else about 'freebleeding'.

I'm not changing the subject, honestly. The thing is, reading this other thread made me howl with laughter (which is always a bit freaky in an otherwise empty room, I find), and, having to cross my legs - too many DCs, too few pelvic floor exercises - made me think that it could ALWAYS come in useful to be wearing two pairs of knickers. Even if it DOES make your bum look big.

My mum always made me wear 2 pairs of pants with my tights (1 under 1 over).

The over pair had to be worn under on the following day

Never anything as, um, well, untitillating as wearing extra pants over them to keep the buggers up!

What if the under pair were a thong and the over pair were a control type? That might work but has the potential to get a bit uncomfortable.

I think the gusset of your pants would just also end up sagging down your thighs too tbh... unless you have super dooper industrial style magic pants or something...

Uncomfortable like those pull-your-tummy-in thongs...haven't tried one, but can't imagine how it can pull your tummy in without cutting you right in half. don't think you could sit down.

I wish they would just make tights without droopy gussets.
