I'm in my study wearing my PJ shirt and a fleecey blanket on my legs, MNetting, organising house viewings, playing with springpad and avoiding the packing and studying Grin

Great day, was supposed to be heading into London for my sister's hen do but it got cancelled last night as she's ill! But it's all good to me, I love having a weekend to myself to do nothing!

PontyMython · 10/09/2011 11:58

I have greasy hair too and I smell because we have no hot water :(

I am mooching at home with DS, I did try getting some Xmas presents wrapped but he threw a wobbly! I guess he's too old (just turned 2) for me to get away with anything

HairyGrotter · 10/09/2011 11:59

Ah just a Foo Fighters tribute band, I'm just going for the booze and sweaty men really (although I love Foo Fighters)

ENormaSnob · 10/09/2011 12:00

Unexpected Sat at home as DS too full of cold for football. Am washed and dressed. Working my way through the HUGE pile of washing, and reading and surfing while the machine does it stuff.

HPonEverything · 10/09/2011 12:05

I'm doing better than you as have had a shower, but still in dressing gown. Am now classed as 'heavily' pregnant so I believe it's in the rules that I'm allowed :o

Should probably get round to doing some stuff at some point though, but my crops are coming up for harvest time on Farmville so...

ripstheirthroatoutliveupstairs · 10/09/2011 12:07

I've been up since 6.30 when a bonkers dream drove me out of bed. The stop smoking tablets have given me really bizarre realistic dreams.
So far I've put on a load of washing, hung it out and watched DD do her version of gymnastics. I've eaten three muller corner yoghurts and will go and shower now.
Later, I have to take DD to church (school requirement Angry) then early night cos we are off to Liverpool tomorrow Grin

Ifancyashandy · 10/09/2011 12:11

I'm home on the sofa in a grump. Got up early and went to the gym as was suppossed to be heading to mates to help her pack up her home (she's moving. Obvs). Called to say 'what time - have kept day clear as requested' to be told my services are no longer required - she wants to tackle the beginning on her own.

Now, I know I should be relieved but I'd kept the day free, live alone and am not working at mo so I'd been looking forward to spending time with a human being her before she moves, to getting stuck in and to the likely bottles of vino we'd have consumed this evening. And since she said 'but you can help out in the week', I feel a little taken for granted TBH.

Am now tres bored and fed up that I've got no-one to play with. .

But feel better for ranting! Any suggestions as to what I can do today then?!

HairyBeaver · 10/09/2011 12:12

Well I'm showered and dressed. Just finished my housework and waiting for bathroom floor to dry so I can put on some slap as not to offend anyone when I pop to town and tescos.

I'm off to a hen night tonight at my local and all dressing up as bridesmaids so need to get a tiara from claires.

Also have a christening tomorrow at 11:30 so am mentally telling myself to book a cab home for 12 and not to drink too much vodka, do you reckon saying it over and over and over again will make me do it? Grin instead of coming in at 2am drunk Hmm also dp is working all day tomorrow from 8am so I'm on my lonesome taking the kids to the christening with a stinking hangover

HecateQueenOfWitches · 10/09/2011 12:15

I've done some washing, been to the shop, bummed about on here, had a chat with the kids, got them their breakfast, done my eldest's physio for today and now I'm settling down to do an EMS audit ready for submission on Monday, while my husband entertains the children and tries to unblock the sink Grin

TottWriter · 10/09/2011 12:16

Unwashed but dressed. Blush

I have been hoovering and cutting out material for the mock up of a dress I'm making though. I figured a shower would be a waste of time until I had finished. [hot, humid day]

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 10/09/2011 12:19

I'm dressed, but in yoga pants and t shirt. No shower, havent brushed my hair, havent even taken off yesterdays make up

I will use morning sickness as my defence though

I've washed some dishes and got a load of washing ready to go in the machine, and I've swept the living room. DS is having a nap (think he may have gone back to two since the proper walking started, yay!) so I'm catching up on some TV from the week and MNing.
Just ate a Dairylea Dunker, now going to have a Babybel and glass of bitter lemon (serious cheese cravings going on here!)

My M&D will be over at some point this afternoon as they are home for the weekend (dad is working away), hence the tidying. But glad to have a good excuse if its not as tidy as I'd like... Wink

DH is in work til about 7.30, but its the last of his run of shifts today so we have four days together from tomoz!!! :)

purpleturtle · 10/09/2011 12:23

I've lurked in my bed finishing a book, chatted to DC as and when they've popped in to my room, finally hauled myself into the shower. And now I'm sitting here feeling grumpy, and not knowing quite where to start. House is not very tidy, cupboards are pretty bare, but I just can't be bothered.

Ifancyashandy - sorry your friend let you down. I hate it when that happens - I have a little accumulation of flaky friends who think nothing of cancelling stuff last minute, with no concept of the impact that might have on someone who'd been looking forward to it. Sad

mo3d · 10/09/2011 12:24

Ifancy poor you, it's horrible when people change plans at the last minute.

I don't have any suggestions for you I'm afraid. I'm still in my PJs thinking about getting showered.

My plan today is to walk into town to pick up a library book!!! Exciting Grin

Hope your day pans out even better than you thought Ifancy

ItsTimeToBurnThisDiscoDown · 10/09/2011 12:25

I've just got showered and dressed (took advantage of 6 week old DS going to sleep after his 9am feed for a sneaky nap!). Am now making a cup of tea before evicting DH from our bed so I can change the sheets. Would like to spend the day lolling about on the sofa, but did minimal housework yesterday so need to do extra today :(

Am v jealous of the Foo Fighters tribute band and everyone else doing exciting things!

Ifancyashandy · 10/09/2011 12:35

Thank you mo3d & purple. I could call some other people but since most of them are married / partnered up / got kids, it's unlikely they'll be available at short notice and it feels a little imposing - hate putting people in the position where they have to say no. And it would only make me feel worse if they did.

Am trying to motivate self out of slump / into shower and maybe to go to the flicks. But went earlier in the week. On my own. Again.

Oh woe is me! Christ, someone slap me - I'm boring myself now!!

HairyGrotter · 10/09/2011 12:46

Ifancyashandy why not have a shower, go rent a DVD, grab some popcorn, grab a takeaway, mooch infront of the box and down a box of wine (or whatever your tipple is)?

Hate plans being cancelled etc

I've since had a shower and 'masked' my awful hair so that it is tousled for tonight. Just need an outfit, then await DD to be collected so I can start on the rum!

Ifancyashandy · 10/09/2011 13:41

Right. Have showered and put face on. Inspired by another thread, I've looked up a recipe for soup and am going to head into town to buy ingredients and a pair of shoes! They are a pair of brogues and I need them!

Have also stuck a bottle of vino in the fridge and plan an evening of smelly candles, hot bath, trashy mag and shouting -drunkenly- at Strictly and X Factor. Not such a shabby evening.

Thanks for the slaps!

HairyGrotter · 10/09/2011 13:52

Sounds like a great evening actually, rather jealous now (apart from the X Factor bit) ha

I LOVE SHOES

Al0uiseG · 10/09/2011 13:57

I have a hangover which I'm hiding from dh Wink I've walked the dog, found some blackberries, picked the blackberries and I now have Blackberry Sake and Blackberry Vodka brewing in jars :)
