I have never sent my FIL a card in my (or his) life. neither has DH. FIL and I get on very well by the way. Come to think of it, he never remembers my Bday either :)

YABU. Its abit harsh on you FIL and makes noone happy.

But presumably he hasn't chosen to be away at conferences, or their timing? Frankly, being away from home for work sucks. Dull travel, boring conference and lonely hotel. Bet he'd far rather be at home. Do you work as well or does his hard work allow you to be a SAHM?
