Fucking hell, I (for the first and last time) have just ventured on to Netmums and it is wayyyyyyyyyyy to bloody bright, too many colours!!!!! Don't think I will go back Grin

SayCoolNowSayWhip · 06/09/2011 17:06

Indeed! I was just being persnickety for the hell of it :o

thefirstMrsDeVere · 06/09/2011 17:08

I want to try and fit a weight loss one on for my dog.

One NM had one that said '6 years, 5 days and 10 minutes till we get married' it was beyond tragic.

I find the ovulation ones a bit ick. I mean, TMI ladies!

AryaStark · 06/09/2011 17:17

So you could have

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 06/09/2011 17:19

My DH keeps complaining that I am a MN "harridan" rather than a NM "mummie" Grin
I told him the colours give me migraine.

HippyHippopotamus · 06/09/2011 17:20

if anyone does have a sweary one, please link on here!

DraculasMum · 06/09/2011 17:20

I sold something on nethuns once, the family of 4 turned up in matching track suits..

I shit you not.

thefirstMrsDeVere · 06/09/2011 17:21

They say 'mommie' or 'mom' on NMs.

I complained.
I was told I was judgemental

I am

SuePurblybilt · 06/09/2011 17:24

I saw a real, fair dinkum shell suit last weekend. That was in response to the tracksuits btw,not random sharing.

Really, ovulation tickers? Like ---13 days and my mucous is egg-white fresh. I'm ready to baby-dance! Think of me boffing my weasel/spud-----
That would be worrying.

GeneralCustardsHardHat · 06/09/2011 17:28

Random brain fart here but i always end up with the phrase 'Vermicious Knid' rotating round my head and i never know where i picked it up, can someone please enlighten me?

SayCoolNowSayWhip · 06/09/2011 17:30

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Or more to the point, Charlie and the Big Glass Elevator.

woollyideas · 06/09/2011 17:36

Mine would say:

It's been 3 seconds since I last wound up a bigot on Nethuns.

sjuperwolef · 06/09/2011 17:45

ive been forced over to hunland more times than i care to remember thanks to MN Angry it is a too bright, headache inducing, madness spewing glittery fairy dust crap factory. imho.

kat2504 · 06/09/2011 17:54

I had a look at baby and bump when it came up as I was Dr Googling stuff. I had a little browse around the site and even registered so I could look at pictures and stuff. I then found a bucket to be sick in.

sjuperwolef · 06/09/2011 17:59

if i had a ticker it would say since i made this ticker and fecked off back to mumsnet yo!!!!!

learningtofly · 06/09/2011 18:14

I thought a ticker was your heart!

sjuperwolef · 06/09/2011 18:20

i thought so too till i joined here and heard about the dark side

learningtofly · 06/09/2011 18:22

Maybe I am just old fashioned but flashing messages does nothing for me

sjuperwolef · 06/09/2011 18:26

same here ltf, i am well aware of how old my dd is and when my baby is due without having some godawful flashing glittery elc toy thing announcing it to the world and his wife, its one of the many reasons i love it here - we can retain some Anonymity if we choose to and divulge as much as we feel comfortable with.

sittinginthesun · 06/09/2011 18:30

I have a very boring ticker on NM, I just let my boys choose the colour of their t shirts.

NM has got more sparkly over the years - it was okay in the old days (waves at MrsDV as pretty certain I recognise you from over there).

thefirstMrsDeVere · 06/09/2011 18:32

Waves back.

I am sure you do - I am always popping up and putting people straight Grin

magicmelons · 06/09/2011 18:36

Those things are so hideous they make me a little bit sick in my mouth. Mine would say 11 weeks and 3 days until I can resume drinking gin and tonics.

sittinginthesun · 06/09/2011 18:37

You were a great help, actually! 'twas a dark dark time in my life, but the virtual support was amazing.

TeenageWildlife · 06/09/2011 18:37

One hour til you can no longer resist the urge to Google dragonbutter
