AIBU to have 2 log in names.. One for light-hearted stuff and another for more serious stuff?

Do you swop your names around?
Been on here for 14 years and it's interesting to see how familiar people react when they don't know who you are..
Do you stick with one name or do you have more?

I've changed names three times. My first name was far too close to my own name. I changed my second one ( which I loved) after I had a few 'issues' with another poster.

TrillianAstra · 03/09/2011 11:53

You don't need 2 logins, you can change name within the same login and if you do it for privacy reasons (rather than for winding people up) MNHQ don't mind.

KittyFane · 03/09/2011 12:18

Trillian- that's what I do! I didn't mean two separate login addresses. :)

According to the article I once read, the average is 6 IDs per person. So you're below the average and far from BU

This is my second name. The first was like my real name and was just done quickly so I could jump into an AIBU (on P&C parking - happy days!)and post.

I'm used to this one now and feel it is 'me'. Don't want to keep changing. i hope that I am reasonably consistent in my posts - I try to be honest and help if I can.

Feminine · 03/09/2011 14:11

karma I hope you keep your name :)
I have always agreed with your opinions ... and thus far ,we have always thought the same way Grin

You wouldn't know that though, as I have changed a few times!

fedupofnamechanging · 03/09/2011 14:17

I do intend to keep it Feminine. I am here so much I almost think of it as more my name than my rl one Blush

worraliberty · 03/09/2011 14:20

I think it's comforting to see some regular names we recognise amongst all the name changers Grin

Feminine · 03/09/2011 14:21

True worra and after this thread I think I might just keep mine!

worraliberty · 03/09/2011 14:25

Yaaay! Grin
