If it's a site 'By parents for parents', isn't Mumsnet a little sexist? We've all seen how members here react to any sort of anti women agenda so is this seen as acceptable because it's anti dads?

In what sense is Peepnet amusing?

CurlyBoy · 19/08/2011 20:46

While I did feel a bit strange joining something called Mumsnet I agree that it does sound better and I've never felt it's anti-dad.

notlettingthefearshow · 19/08/2011 20:56

I would prefer a non mumsy name too, as it might encourage a a better balance of men and women.

tbf though how can you tell the gender balance? I would say there is probably a much, much higher ratio of men on this parenting sites than others with gender neutral names, for example baby centre.

I doubt Babycentre get gay single men* posting for advice on training their dog.... but am prepared to be corrected.

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 19/08/2011 21:05

They should call it Arseholes United and be done with it. Or Fight Club.

Honeydragon · 19/08/2011 21:06

MissVerinder · 19/08/2011 21:08

SuePurblybilt · 19/08/2011 21:10

Right, is there any way that all the people who want to whinge about how shit MN is or suggest pointless changes that would make it, y'know, not MN could amass on one thread? You could all have a lovely chat and I could hide it.
