To want to go on holiday!!

Problem is with stepson as well it takes the cost up for next year from £2500 (for me hubby and 2 boys)to £4000 if we take step son as well.
Really dont want my boys to miss out on a holiday, we could afford £ 2500 but £4000 just can't stretch to, it's cos we would need an extra room if stepson came as the rooms only fit 4. Husband thinks it's a complete no no not to take him but he does go away with his mum, not abroad though!
Don't want to be the evil step mum but really would like to get a holiday next next!!

There's no need for the OP, her dh and their 3 boys to miss out on a holiday. All the OP has to do is find a holiday in Mallorca that does not cost more than £2500.

It's not rocket science and it is an easily achieveable goal, but I suspect that the OP's agenda is to find cause to exclude her dss from what she considers to be a holiday for her family.

Yes, but surely it is ok to want a holiday with her kids too? They don't go with dss and his mum! Especially with the age gap, surely a nuclear holiday and an everyone holiday is ok?

i'll get hung for this no doubt - but i have 2 ss and we took them on a holiday abroad before we were married - and its the last one i will ever go with them on - apart from the constant arguing with my son the biscuit was taken when eldest(9 at the time) had a runny tum and decorated the bathroom and bed with it and then also had several accidents (though didnt ask to go to the loo or let us know he had had an accident)

have also been on several trips in the uk with them and apart from the constant bedwetting (not to mention wetting while asleep in car) travel sickness and their incessant insomnia which prevents my son sleeping i have given up and now dodnt go on those either - the boys go away with their resident parents and dh takes them away for a few days each year. my loss but i dont enjoy changing beds everyday and rinsing them out or scrubbing sick or wee off the car for kids that are older than mine.

me and their mum has such different parenting styles that it cant/wont work - i have them over in my house for every other weekend when i go to work and i can just about manage that.

wish i had a loving fab relationship with sks but its not gonna happen.
