Tp not want to give away one of a litter of kittens to a heavy smoker who smokes indoors?

I think it would be irresponsible of me to do so, knowing the poor kitten will be smoked all over by new owner.....

AIBU and ott?

passingtime you sound really lovely - sleeping on the sofa so mum & kittens can mew under you bed Smile
The kittens sound beautiful - I think we need some photos please!

The mum cat that gave birth in our garden was very young - she looked tiny. She was a stray, poor thing. She rejected one kitten and attacked another, breaking it's hock and puncturing the skin repeatedly. She didn't recover unfortunately. The other two are fit and well - 17 weeks now.

This just highlights the myth that all cats make great mothers. The stray just couldn't cope - she was too young & inexperienced. PLEASE everyone reading get your pets neutered asap. I'm a bit of a ranter about this subject now - sorry - but I dread to think what would have happened if my DH hadn't disturbed her and found the injured kitten(s).

stinkyfluffycat I will get some pictures up soon :)

I can't bring myself to move the kittens and make the mum anxious, she nearly rejected the runt but dp stayed with her for hours picking it up in a towel and putting it on the mum. He had to cut the cord because she wasn't interested but now all of the kittens are doing really well - if it wasn't for the cute white face you wouldn't know it was the runt at all!

Aww! I soooo want a kitten/cat (will get from a rescue) but we live in a flat with no garden access at the moment and have/about to have babies who I don't want to terrorise a cat.. a few more years then. Sigh!
