OP, YANBU. I don't think it's about predicting unrest, or even really about being here to do anything (you are right, of course, Lemon, we have a whole network of people/offices to do the work). But I do think he should have come back sooner if only to show his fat shiny smug Tory face support.

YABU. Saturday, things kicked off but it could have been a one off. Sunday night there wasn't that much going on. I had the impression it was dying down if anything. It really escalated last night and he was back home within hours.

I suspect those who are criticising him are mostly Labour voters, who can't stand him anyway, so I get where they're coming from. I wouldn't miss a trick to slate Silliband if he was in power and wouldn't cut him an inch of slack either, so...understand those who are critical, but don't share their views.

I didn't say they invented spin, only that they put at the forefront of everything they did. It just seems to matter more what people are seen to be doing and if they could focus on working the problems rather than the image they might get more done
