A friend just text me and said she thought going to London (Natural History Museum) tomorrow isn't a good idea because of the unrest in Tottenham and Enfield.
Is she being over sensitive?? (hope so as I'm reeeeeally looking forward to it!)

I will be going to work (Central London) tomorrow from home (close to Lewisham). I'll obviously walk away from any trouble if I happen to see any but otherwise I'll be going apart my business as usual.

Cook- it was on the six oclock news tonight, i only watch decent channels and read good quality newspapers, thank you.

Boris made the decision because of the findings and extent of the trouble now, this morning he was communicating by phone.

I live and work in Central London and you really wouldn't know that there are problems in other parts of the city. I think it is unlikely that there will be problems in South Ken tomorrow during the day. Hackney is about 6-8 miles as the crow flies from South Ken. Peckham, Croydon, Deptford, Tottenham are all equally far away or futher.

I would check the news tomorrow but I wouldn't automatically cancel your trip.

I didn't know that it had started in Clapham as well.

I am going to London tomorrow, staying in the South West and will need to go through Clapham on the train to get anywhere... I have exams in the Docklands all week. This is really going to add to the stress :( Hope I don't have too many transport problems.

The riots make me so angry - who the fuck do these anti-social tossers think they are?!

Hope everyone in affected neighbourhoods is doing okay.

bbc report from clapham - they had to close the station for an hour. reporters say there are 100's of looters in the street outside the station raiding debenhams and the like, no sign of police for an hour and a half. dh not very happy that I've strongly asked him to work from home but he is going to.

DD2 lives in Kingston and told me earlier tonight that a riot had started ther but the other side to where she is, I think on the outskirts of the town. She was going out but just locally and says she#ll phone me tomorow.

I'm out and about in London with dd's daily. Not going to change what I'm doing esp during the day. We are in west London - Hyde park today and we will go to NHM Wednesday. If your transport links weren't affected I'd go for the day - if they start rioting in Kensington perhaps think again.

Feel very Sad for innocents affected by this, and very Angry with morons causing it.
