I'm thinking of using Sun-In on my four year old's hair

The roots currently bear no relation to the ends and I'm thinking of spraying a bit of sun in into it

Am I being unreasonable?

oh so you were trying to be funny......

DooinMeCleanin · 06/08/2011 17:33

Sun in leaves hair orange, you need this. Be sure to leave it on twice as long as the instructions say, to get that lovely white blonde. It'll look lush with her St. Tropez Orange tan.

Team with lash extensions and permanent make up for full effect. Oh and don't forget the baby stillettos, they have to learn sooner than later, right?

maypole1 · 06/08/2011 17:40

Noooooooo don't put any dye in her hair if you really want to do somthing try lemon juice

But really she is for and FYI not sure what message your sending out that she is only cute if she was blond.

AnneWiddecomesArse · 06/08/2011 17:44

How silly.
It's obviously a troll looking for a bite.
Yes. Put Sun In the hair and while you're at it dye her eyelashes electric blue

MollieO · 06/08/2011 17:51

You need to send her to rugby camp. Ds (7) went to one this week but despite applying suncream and wearing a hat he now has a tan and sun-lightened blonde hair. It cost me £125 for the week including lunch and ds improved his rugby skills. Hadn't thought about him being more lovable because of the change, but you're right he is. Grin

If the roots bear no relation to the ends than that is because she is growing out the blond baby hair and developing darker hair. So unless you want to use sun-in or hair dye forever, just let nature take its course and embrace a darker haired dd.

Not true. Not unless I am still growing out my baby hair at 35. Mine has always been a completely different colour on the ends compared to the roots. A little girl once told me I had rainbow hair. I have decided that is a good thing.

My mum used to sun in my hair when I was no older than 8 (we lived at "the old house" so I know!). Don't know why but don't seem to think it was a big deal.

Groovee · 06/08/2011 19:12

Sun In ruined my friends hair when we were teens. We bought a bottle and shared it and she used a lot more than me and it was so horrible. 4 year olds aren't meant to have dyed hair (even if mum thinks pink ends look cute)

hairfullofsnakes · 06/08/2011 19:36

You are kidding right? Because if you are not I can't even begone to write about wrong This is...

If your 4yo looks like Jennifer Aniston I'd say her hair's the least of your worries.

MissPenteuth · 06/08/2011 21:32

(By which I mean that a 4yo shouldn't look like a 40yo, I have nothing against Jennifer Aniston!)

joric · 06/08/2011 21:37

Ahh, doesn't that little girl look sweet?!

Whorulestheroost · 06/08/2011 21:38

Go for it op. My cousin one summer decided to use this (this was back in the early 90s) all her hair fell out and hasn't grown back 20yrs later!

BitOfFun · 06/08/2011 21:42

That other thread is bonkers. You should have thrown in a few bits about self-expression and innocent fun, for authenticity...

ledkr · 06/08/2011 21:49

Dont be so bloody ridiculous op. Fgs.

strictlovingmum · 06/08/2011 21:59
