She brought her baby in to work today to show her off at seven days old!

OK, her DH drove her there and back and cheated the wardens by driving round and round the block - but even so . . .

By the time she left she looked knackered and most of you can imagine better than I how knackered she must have been.

But the baby was gorgeous . . .

A friend's husband is a teacher in a small primary school. He tells of the heavily pregnant woman who dropped her kids at school in the morning and arrived to pick them up up that afternoon with a newborn in tow. Shock

ds attended dd's birthday party in a church hall on his way back from hospital age 7 days after spending his first week in SCBU. Said ds a week later went into work with me on the train as I couldn't drive (CS) - two weeks before his due date....

I must have been mad!

I was in town with my 6 week old in a sling (with 2 other DC's). A woman came up to have a look and sad that in her culture babies that ols wouldn't be out of the house! I guess if you have lots of support for the other children then fine, but I'd go mad being in the house for 6+ weeks.

Wont say how old DD2 was before leaving the house (hours rather than days), but DC1 was at ikea at 5 days old and he wasn't the youngest there!

I don't think I'd have bothered with work but I took DC4 to pick up the older Dc's from school when she was about 13 hrs old. All the cooing over her was lovely Smile
