Met a friend for coffee today,
she had dressed her 1yr old in hareem pants, checked shirt and a flat cap.

I know it can be 'fun' to dress your child.. but I did secretly think WTF!
AIBU ?

You totally are missing a trick, boursin!

Am so tempted to start spoof thread about your DS Grin

boursin · 30/07/2011 00:29

oh if you do garlic.. it was the blue stripy tee from asda, accessorized with fake navy crocs

Harem pants are def. a girls wear item. Maybe your friend was trying to look trendy for you. Maybe you should be pleased they have gone to so much effort. I know if I am going to a lunch then I plan my daughters wear about 2 days in advance.

aw, our two year old wore harrem pants for our wedding, but it was a whole outfit from morrocco. I dont think we`d have teamed it with check & a cap ;?
bit wanky.

lol at cowboy rolling stones kid! kids in tight jeans is just wrong.

spiderslegs · 30/07/2011 00:38

I thank you ZigZag, it is often mooted.

BahHumPug · 30/07/2011 00:43

Oh for pity's sake - he's one! A pair of trousers, unadorned with pink glitter or ponies or whatever other gender-orientated tat is peddled to impressionable mothers, are not 'girly.' And even if he was in full ponied-up regalia, so what?!

boursin · 30/07/2011 00:46

The little boy has several flat caps to match his outfits... to my knowledge she is not from up North.
Agreed the cap is odd but perhaps trendier than my boys 'Cars' baseball cap

Fuck me, I'm impressed. The woman has too much time and money on her hands.

AgentZigzag · 30/07/2011 00:52

Be off with your completely correct conclusions and very sensible words BHP and leave us to our unfounded judgments of this poor mum.

Grin

I bet the little lad has bloody scrummy toes...

boursin · 30/07/2011 00:53

GB you have made me a very happy woman, I feel honored!
tickled pink in fact :o

AgentZigzag · 30/07/2011 00:53

And I don't believe that for a second spiders Grin

BahHumPug · 30/07/2011 00:54

It's probably because I'm jealous of his flat cap.

AgentZigzag · 30/07/2011 00:58

I admire you for your disclosure BHP.

BahHumPug · 30/07/2011 00:59

I think I've discovered a new side to myself.

If you need me, I'll be crying in the corner dressed like a Yorkshireman with a penchant for Moroccon fashion.

garlicbutter · 30/07/2011 01:00

Eh, boursin, can't you be tickled green or orange or summat?!

garlicbutter · 30/07/2011 01:00

Or purple harem pants ??

garlicbutter · 30/07/2011 01:01

BHP, you look fabulous.

BahHumPug · 30/07/2011 01:03

Thank you! Those baby hareem pants were a wee bit small, so I'm just wearing them on my big toe, but I think the overall effect is the same.

garlicbutter · 30/07/2011 01:04

You really made me guffaw out loud Grin
I probably woke up the kids next door! Blush

BahHumPug · 30/07/2011 01:08

Do you think there's something funny about my outfit?! Shock I will NOT be mocked!

spiderslegs · 30/07/2011 01:11

a Yorkshireman with a penchant for Moroccon fashion

I'm from Yorkshire & you don't get many of them to the pound BHP.

& ZigZag - I am clearly an island of sense in a maelstrom of giddy nonsense.

garlicbutter · 30/07/2011 01:13

Nooo, BHP honest [serious] [snurk]

Your big toe looks amazing.

spiderslegs · 30/07/2011 01:15

In fact, I am so sodding sensible I am currently crooning along to Art Garfunkel's 'Bright Eyes' as a result of a casual conversation by a rabbits' warren with my vet friend today.

Whilst swigging home-brew.

Harem pants aside, I am one classy bird.
