¾.

Though I do also like 5/7

startail · 22/07/2011 17:48

DH wishes to add 355/113
(A more accurate approximation to pi)
Feel free to throw custard pies at him for excess geek!

CurrySpice · 22/07/2011 17:51

Quarter, As in, at the sweet shop, "I'll have a quarter of bon bons"

FuzzpigFourFiveSix · 22/07/2011 17:56

7/12 because it's my birthday :o

Or 3/4, 3/8 and 6/8 because they are nice time signatures too (I am both a mathematics geek and a piano geek!)

When I was studying with the OU I had to number the pages and include the total page count as well. So if there were 24 pages it'd be 1/24, 2/24 etc. Not being able to write, say, 3/8 instead of 9/24 on page 9 actually HURT. I'd get all knotted up inside Blush

FoundWanting · 22/07/2011 18:00

No-one has said 7/11 Shock

Seven elevenths. Doesn't it sound so lovely?

SandStorm · 22/07/2011 18:02

I like 1/4. Just because.

Finallyspring · 22/07/2011 18:53

I have to disagree about 7/11 it just does not look good.

But 4/6 is lovely. Exactly what a fraction ought to be.

bandgeek · 22/07/2011 19:07

I'd say 3/8 - my favourite time signature!

LynetteScavo · 22/07/2011 19:08

1/2

thisisyesterday · 22/07/2011 19:11

1/4 definitely.

alowVera · 22/07/2011 19:20

54/8

alowVera · 22/07/2011 19:21

Seriously I'd have to say 1/1. Gotta love a whole number. Or maybe 1/16

Macaroona · 22/07/2011 19:52

This thread is stressful Sad

There are so many upsetting fractions - I don't like ones which are meant to be really hard like elevenths, I don't like top-heavy ones and I don't like ones that should be simplified. I don't like the idea of really boring ones like 1/2 or even 3/4.

Maybe 2/3?

Inertia · 22/07/2011 19:55

h / 2pi

PaperBank · 22/07/2011 20:05

0/-1

ensure · 22/07/2011 20:13

1/4 is quite sufficient.

northernrock · 22/07/2011 20:16

My favorite is the sum:
What is 1/2 divided by 1/4?
Foxes many, but is actually really easy.
Go!

Soups · 22/07/2011 20:27

7/21

'tis perfect.

Taghain · 22/07/2011 20:34

7/13.

and for northerrock, 2

Fooffy · 22/07/2011 20:39

6 and 7/8.

Don't know why.

bigTillyMint · 22/07/2011 20:41

3/4 without a doubt.

But I don't know why!

northernrock · 22/07/2011 20:43

I think so many people like 3/4 because it makes you think of a Mr Greedy slice of cake e.g 3/4 of a cake. Yum!
Well done Taghain. Most people say 1/8!
