hmmmm - have you a helpful and understanding neighbour you could call maybe?

itsastrawpoll · 14/07/2011 20:29

Alcohol related asthma? Really? What happened?

kayah · 14/07/2011 20:31

I wasn't clear - he got drunk, was on his way home, had another astma attack and died

well - who knows he might have died anyway

or not

Lilyloo · 14/07/2011 20:34

Can asthma be triggered by alcohol then ?

catgirl1976 · 14/07/2011 20:35

When I was at uni, there was a man called "Mr. Booze" (possibly not his real name), who would, for an extorniate fee deliver drinks and smokes at any hour of the day or night.

But I am afraid I have lost his number :(

tifflins · 14/07/2011 20:36

My asthma has never got in the way of my wine habit (thank God).
Neighbours are all pissed themselves by now (they are in their 90's and it 'never did them any harm'). bless.
On a serious note, I really do envy those people who, come 4 o clock, don't crave a drink, it's a real strugle not to give in to that feeling of wanting to be tipsy. I wish i could be 'normal' and not think so much about the booze.
p.s. do i just phone the normal taxi people and they will pick some up for me and deliver it?

You need an 18 year old DS ,so you can raid his alcohol stash

itsastrawpoll · 14/07/2011 20:36

Ooh yes, booze brothers in Brighton used to do that.

Actually, thinking about it, some takeaways are licensed to deliver booze. Three cans of lager though you shouldn't need much more?

tifflins · 14/07/2011 20:38

You should have married him Catgirl Grin

kidsscareme · 14/07/2011 20:41

Yep just the normal taxi :o

Ring them up and ask - they can only say no. Or you might give them an idea to broaden their business with you as their top customer

littlemisssarcastic · 14/07/2011 20:42

A very kind friend bought me a bottle of lovely Pinot Grigio for my birthday last year. It is still sitting in my kitchen waiting to be drunk. How long can wine keep for until it goes 'funny'. My friend is convinced it wont be fit for consumption now.

catgirl1976 · 14/07/2011 20:42

I could have been Mrs Booze!

Aahhh imagein the little boozettes we could have had together :)

catgirl1976 · 14/07/2011 20:42

I think it depends on the wine littlemiss but it should be fine.

superjobeespecs · 14/07/2011 20:44

My work has now brought in Friendly Fridays. Every Friday at 5pm, Dominos deliver a big stack of pizzas and free wine flows for all. All except me. :( (Well - me and Yaseen in procurement) Still - I make up for it on the pizza consumption

tifflins · 14/07/2011 20:51

Poor Yaseen, is he/she pregnant too? Hmm

tifflins · 14/07/2011 20:51

No - he's a Muslim. He can't even eat most of the pizza as they always seem to order loads with pepperoni / bacon but not many veggie. He has it worse than me :(
