For the man who wants nothing.

mumdrivenmad · 19/07/2011 12:05

I am absolutely dreading Christmas this year, I am already getting stressed out obout it

PenguinPatter · 19/07/2011 13:03

I have to get DC birthday out the way in August before serious Christmas planning can take place here but I have started thinking about Christmas.

I am trying to book pantomime tickets and make list of presents to try and avoid over sending.

girlywhirly · 19/07/2011 16:45

NoHunIntended, that is priceless! I never knew that nothing could be so funny.

Shiney, we went to see Shakespeares Much Ado About Nothing at the Globe this year, perhaps a copy of the play for DH's present? Especially as the word nothing was a slang term for a lady's private parts in Elizabethan England! Maybe that is what he meant when he said he wanted nothing for Christmas? You lucky girl. Get thee some sexy apparel forthwith!

Squiglettsmummy2bx · 19/07/2011 16:50

I'm going to start early as my baby is due early February so I doubt I will enjoy the packed shops this year. If is my DD birthday on the 5th of December so may try & get as much done as I can by October??? I normally do mine early then do my mum & brothers shopping & wrapping at the last minute, will have to warn them that it won't be happening this year. I love Xmas Smile well I love any excuse to buy presents & celebrate actually Grin

peeriebear · 19/07/2011 17:49

I love Christmas and though I have not started any preparations, I do get excited thinking about it already :o Haters gonna hate! If only I had the bloody cash I'd start secreting stocking fillers away for the DDs.

NoHunIntended · 19/07/2011 17:50

girlywhirly, well, it's £5.99! :)

knittedbreast · 19/07/2011 18:08

I have finished my xmas shopping completely-except for my dh!really pleased that I can relax and enjoy xmas this year.

NoHunIntended · 25/07/2011 12:45

Five months to go ... and counting! :)

TeaOneSugar · 25/07/2011 20:25

I collected our Panto tickets this afternoon, we usually go on christmas eve but DH is working this year (and christmas day), so I wanted to make sure we got good seats for the 23rd.

Hopefully I'll manage to get the 23rd off work and we can have our traditional christmas eve a day early.

NoHunIntended · 29/07/2011 13:13

Which Panto are you going to?

SpecialFriedRice · 29/07/2011 13:21

I'm actually a bit of a wanker and hate xmas. :O

The only person I enjoy buying for is my DD - It comes so easy and I love seeing her wee face on xmas morning. She's 3.5 so this is the first year she's really "getting" what santa is all about.

I have just bought my first xmas present (books for DD from the book people - highly recommend). I have to start early to afford it.

I hate the stress of how to afford it all and what to buy everyone though. Spend half the year worrying about it. If it was acceptable to only buy for my DD I would... But think I'd get some Hmm faces from my family.

ENormaSnob · 29/07/2011 13:31

148 days to go Grin

WhereYouLeftIt · 29/07/2011 14:01

I am planning to make Parsnip, cranberry & chestnut loaf this year for my lovely vegetarian MIL. I'm thinking of doing a test-run sometime next week. That may start to get me in the mood!

CarrieOakey · 29/07/2011 14:03

I would like to talk about Xmas please - only because I am going to be spending it in AUSTRALIA!!!! Whoop whoop Grin, so excited!
