Why not dispense with names for kids and refer to them as their birthday: nice to meet you, I'm May Eleven!

Mandy2003 · 11/07/2011 18:13

I wouldn't mind being called Swansea, better than Channel 4

AgonyBeetle · 11/07/2011 20:51

I reckon i would be a good name. As in 'the square root of -1' rather than the letter.

I knew a woman called Wendy House. And it wasn't a married name.

I also knew a woman called Victoria Cross, which was a married name. And she didn't call her son George.

When my daughter was young she couldn't wait to to go to school with her big sister. I must have said when you are five you can go to school.

After her 5th birthday she announced her name was now Pamfive.

She told all her new teachers (and anyone else that would listen) that Pamfive was her name and for years after we would kid her on about it. She's 23 now, so I think she started the trend :)
