There is always talk of so many women wearing the wrong bra size but I have been measured differently in three different shops! From a C to an F and 34-36!

Shouldn't they all measure me the same?

yeah in addittion to all that. I am not a big fan of my boobanannies. But, bought a balcony bra, real 50's job and I have to say, i look awesome in it. Indeed the husband did a double take. So I have gone from kinda strapping them down, to shoving them up for the whole world to marvel at. It is so liberating? And a handy place to pop a kit kat.

I'm a huge R&P fan. I went from thinking I was a 36B to a 32D. Their bras aren't cheap but the difference they make is incredible and they last well.

Insomnia11 · 13/07/2011 16:36

The add four/five thing has always worked for me though, but I do always try a bra on as sometimes the style of bra doesn't suit me.

Orbinator · 13/07/2011 19:35

Yes, they have completely missed the point - I did say in the email that it was all about their measuring technique being wrong, btw, so it couldn't have been any clearer.
Oh well, we've done our bit to try to make their lingerie department get back on track. Can't say we didn't try
Did also wonder what thanks you'd get for personal feedback in store as they suggested...I can't imagine they would be happy to hear that their measuring ladies are usually rude dragons with no manners (or seemingly eyes in their heads) and a strange affinity to a measuring tape Confused

I sent this link to Bravissimo, suggesting a Mumsnet discount code.

This is the reply:

Thank you for your e-mail and I am so sorry for the delay in replying to you.

We really do appreciate all the feedback and discussion that goes on, on Mumsnet about Bravissimo. It's so great to hear customers sharing their experiences and generally spreading the word about Bravissimo - a huge thank you to all of you!

Therefore I am sorry that we don't offer discounts at the moment, however if we do in the future then we will definitely consider your suggestion. In the meantime I wondered if our loyalty scheme might be something you would be interested in - it is basically a buy 10 bras and get 1 free. There are a few terms and conditions but is it really is as simple as buy 10 bras, keep them and you will get the 11th free (up to the value of £30). So just in case this interests you, here is a link to it - www.bravissimo.com/loyalty-scheme/. You do need to register on our website, however purchases made over the phone, in one of our store or on the website get counted in and as soon as you have met the criteria for the free bra, we will e-mail to let you know! (you can also read the terms and conditions on this link here - www.bravissimo.com/terms/)

I am so sorry we could not bring you the discount code you were hoping for and thank you for this suggestion and hope the loyalty scheme might be something you would like to take part in. Please do come straight back to me if you wish to discuss this further at all.

Kind regards and many thanks for continuing to spread the word about wearing a well fitting bra!

Ooooh, nice try Bartlet! Who's going to do R&P? Wink

Pingu are you still thinking about doing an independent something or other? Voucher code on here could be great for getting known?

HeavyHeidi · 13/07/2011 22:16

yesss I have managed to convince a really skinny friend of mine with 28 inch underbust measurement, that she should not be wearing 34 bra. she ordered some different, smaller sizes and I can't wait til she will see the "miracle of the right bra". :o

Jux · 13/07/2011 22:53

There's no Bravissimo near me wail

Open one in Exeter, please.

PlinkertyPlonk · 14/07/2011 10:15

Late to the party, but just spotted this thread and am intrigued... I'm 29" underbust but can't imagine getting into a 30" bra - ouch! 32" pinches as it is.

Lots of talk about bra fitting for big busted women, but I'm with Ameretti and Blitzer - what to do if you're too small for an A cup?

And HeavyHeidi, let us know how your 28" friend gets on! Does the measuring work?!

microfight · 14/07/2011 10:17

Yes who's going to email R&P Wink

microfight · 15/07/2011 22:35

went out in my new bravissimo today and was so chuffed to be asked if I'd lost weight!
