mini rant..............

My DS's school starts at 0830

Gates open at 0830

I park behind the school everyday, away from all yellow lines. The same parents at least 3 times a week park right up behind my car ( on the yellow lines) because they are running late AGAIN....

Honestly it's the same families (about 3 or 4) that just can't seem to get their kids to school on time, panic then throw their car behind mine just as I am getting back into it!!! which means I am waiting about for a further 5 to 10 minutes before I can move my bloody car!!!! I have to wait for them to sign in LATE at reception etc etc etc before they can come back

don't get me wrong I know people may be busy in the morning but for goodness sake...set ur alarms earlier people!!!!!

Grrrrrr Thursday rant over...... :)

If your time schedule is that tight, surely parking further away is better than risking being blocked in though?

Blurry YANBU at all, it is just plain manners that seem to be lacking.

Altinkum obviously has issues somewhere as your attitude is of annoyance, you're not going around screaming obscenities at these people.

I'm lucky that my dts are now 9 and due to their being no main roads in the way and the school not far from the house these past few months they've been walking themselves. However I've seen the effect tardy parents have, driving stupidly, not noting where other children are or possibly not caring, parking on yellow lines, across roads, drives etc. Even the lollipop lady has been knocked down.

So rant away Blurry you are entitled to, if you know you have to be a place a certain time every day then what is the problem? I've been late, everyone has, it's just part of life but I didn't drive or park like a fanjo because of it.

Oh blow it! You see I got in a huff and wrote a great long post, which made me run late. Never ever ever get anyone started on school parking. Just don't!
