BH; yeah why not

DontCallMePeanut · 05/07/2011 18:57

Heck, I'm a student. We're supposed to spend most of our time stoned, right? Grin

And Goblin, you dark horse... Wink

Hullygully · 05/07/2011 18:58

oh god yes

Goblinchild · 05/07/2011 19:01

Me?
I can't imagine what you are implying DKMP.

Deja vu and I've not even inhaled.

Carminagetsprimal · 05/07/2011 19:06

I looked at your thread peanut - great idea but the feminism section really isn't for me - I just haven't got the time to get involved in serious debate these days - & to do some of the issues justice you really need to spend hours on-line - I just can't.

MillyR · 05/07/2011 19:14

I've missed the last 5 hours of this, but will respond to ExoticFruits anyway.

I'm not objecting to boys having their own single sex leisure activities. I don't have an issue with it at all.

I am simply pointing out that it is untrue that all the boys' activities have been taken over by girls. They haven't. Lots of single sex activities still exist.

nenevomito · 05/07/2011 19:36

Biscuit? Pringles?

Hullygully · 05/07/2011 19:37

I've got choccy biscuits and fizzy wine (again)

HerBeX · 05/07/2011 19:37

How interesting that you claim to be the new feminism omigawd

Because I've never seen you express anything that sounded remotely feminist.

Do I take it that the new feminism is a little bit like the old not-feminism?

I am actually quite pissed off that Mumsnet is allowing this thread to continue in the way it is. Constant snide implications without having the balls to actually come out and name people.

I can't be bothered to waste more hours of my life engaging with this shit, I think these threads were set up in order to divert us from debating feminism because lots of MRA's are really threatened and angry about women talking about the specific injustice that is directed against us. And there is a strand of lefty boy socialist type politics, that thinks women should make the tea come the revolution and they utterly resent our intelligence and energy being directed into improving our lot when they think we should be working for them, as usual.

Hullygully · 05/07/2011 19:38

They do, Milly, they do. I like Woodcraft Folk for jollity and non-genderness.

Hullygully · 05/07/2011 19:39

Herbie, we's all stoned now. And not one person agreed with Omigawd, so chill.

Omigawd · 05/07/2011 20:12

@Herbex I seemed to have united both non-feminist and feminist with my mini-manifesto. I shall take my bow now :)

Sorry, back... Trying to make sense of my revision material. Ironically, I passed the exam to which I turned up having not revised, after having no sleep the night before, and read the short story on the way there.... Grin Oh. And I fell asleep in the exam...

DontCallMePeanut · 05/07/2011 20:18

That's like the BNP saying they've embraced multiculturalism, omigawd Hmm

Carminagetsprimal · 05/07/2011 21:42

Well done on passing your exam - Smile
I have an exam in October but I'm so far behind with my reading I know I'll fail with flying colours -
Honestly, if a fly enters the room I'll look up and watch it - literally anything can take me away from what I'm supposed to be doing.

DontCallMePeanut · 05/07/2011 21:58

Thank you, Carmina. It's kind of been a kick up the backside. On the tail end of a bad year, I kinda slacked off last semester. But nope, this is kind of a reminder that I can do this.

Good luck with your exam as well. I find a small snack, plenty of water and some lavender oil helps me relax enough to revise... when I do revise, that is... Grin

On a weird note, I do better when I don't revise... someone explain how that works, please? Grin

Carminagetsprimal · 05/07/2011 22:07

you're obviously just super intelligent Grin

I have to read something over and over before I fully understand and absorb it. I had set aside a few hours tonight to do some reading but I ended up watching a programme on BBC2 about church restoration ( which was fab ) and now here I am on bleeding MN - [hopeless case]

I almost failed my degree due to Doom II (thats how long ago it was). It was that or write my dissertation. In the end I had to go home and get my mum to sit in the room with me to make sure I did it Blush and even then I browsed sodding encarta as I could make it look like work.

Carminagetsprimal · 05/07/2011 22:25
