to swap pretty, sexy knickers for big, sensible ones?!

these in fact I bought them yesterday and they are enormously (if you'll pardon the pun) comfortable.

I'm so tired of wearing lacy knickers that rub on my caesarean scar, turn into thongs under jeans and generally make me feel uncomfortable all day long - am I the only one?!

Nooooo, I will not wear big knickers, I won't.
I'm old and live in falling apart jeans, t-shirts and converse, I can at least wear lovely matching small underwear.

TheSnickeringFox · 30/06/2011 23:50

Has anyone tried Thunderpants?

They are AMAZING. And I think they look cute. Most importantly, as they're slogan says, they won't go up your bum!

piprabbit · 30/06/2011 23:57

I think that what you've all been waiting for are these.

Fifis25StottieCakes · 30/06/2011 23:59

Lovely, David Cameron on your tuppence. Passion killers Grin

piprabbit · 01/07/2011 00:03

Well you could choose from Gordon and Nick as well - if you think that will help build the passion instead Grin.

smartyparts · 01/07/2011 00:04

Oh my good God OP - No!!!!

My mil is 75 and a fan of the big pant, but compared to your hideosities, hers are dainty!

Unless of course, you are 75+, in which case, go for it.

Fifis25StottieCakes · 01/07/2011 00:06

what you need are 7 pairs of these

Big knickers all the way here. How else would you tuck your vest in otherwise? {grin]

So they are pants with "Make Wise Choices" written on the waistband? Is that to remind you to check there's enough loo roll left before you start a poo?

Fifis25StottieCakes · 01/07/2011 00:19
Grin

or have you lifted the toilet seat.

Yes i have been pissed, ran in for the toilet and pissed on the lid

fatlazymummy · 01/07/2011 09:12

I always wear big pants now. I only have myself to please and that is what I find comfy.
I am losing weight, so might try bikini pants again if I manage to reduce my tummy but I have never, and will never, wear a thong.

ZeroMinusZero · 01/07/2011 10:40

I'm 26. Never worn thongs (other than a couple of times), don't own any more and will never wear in my life. They are crap.

wrongdecade · 01/07/2011 11:07

I go commando sometimes

however word tyo the wise do not under legging on a night out then sit on a cold stone bench ouch!

AlpinePony · 01/07/2011 11:10

YANBU. I'm pregnant and can't bear anything touching my tummy. Last week I went in to Evans and bought myself a three-pack of GINOpants, I stroke them and possibly love them more than life itself. They won't grace the cover of FHM anytime soon, but if a plane goes down they could be fashioned into a parachute large enough to save several lives.

NewbeeMummy · 01/07/2011 11:27

YANBU - I bought 2 packs after my CS with DD, I lived in them for about 4 months while I got rid of my gut, but I took imense pleasure in binning them once I could face normal kinickers again.

heleninahandcart · 01/07/2011 13:36

No no no no no! big yes, but not with those flowers! where will it end? You'll be letting him see you in you're American Tan tights next! Shock

ttalloo · 01/07/2011 19:23

OP here - in my defence, I would rather my big knickers were plain black or white (those flowers are a bit disturbing) but that was all they had in M&S the other day. And I was so desperate to get into some comfortable knickers that I threw dignity to the wind and resigned myself to comfort over style. Although I'll never hang them out on the line for all the neighbours to laugh at see.

But I so want to get my hands on some thunderpants. Now those give big knickers a good name. Not sure that DH would like those, though, any more than the big, comfy ones from M&S. He raised a slightly aghast eyebrow when he saw them for the first time, but was relieved to learn that my bras would continue to be pretty, lacy and sexy. Wink
