Well, it is illegal in that naughty people uploaded them.

But no, you can't be prosecuted for watching them that way, you haven't done anything illegal, someone else has.

Whereas if you download you have done something naughty too.

I get really annoyed, because I generally try and get legal copies but you have to wait so bloody long for american shows to come here sometimes, and iTunes is useless. Everytime I have tried it the download has been unwatchable and they won't refund the money.

Personally I much prefer the books in terms of plot and characterisation, but I try to view the series as a totally separate entity and not keep thinking 'ooh but that's not what happens in the book, and that character would never do that!'. For instance I hate what they've done with Sam's character; in the books he's absolutely lovely and I've always thought that he is who Sookie should end up with, ultimately.

I think they did more or a slow burn with Sam. I seem to recall him being a twat in the second book.

LaWeasel I don't think he's been a twat at all in the books, although he does have a taste in dangerous women; the maenad, the cousin of the pelts, the were chick etc. His love and caring for Sookie always shines through though.

Sookie is not at all annoying in the books, either, whereas she is very a little bit annoying in the series.

I didnt phrase my previous comment very well... I love book 4 which season 4 is very loosely based on. (after watching last nights episode I really do mean very loosely!)

I have all the books. But read somewhere, can't remember where, that there will on be 12 and 13 and she wraps it up.

As for who she'll end up with in the books, i'm thinking she'll use that weird fairy magic object thing that belonged to her Grandmother and make Bill human again and they'll live happily ever after!
