I have typed the reason for this thread many many times, but have deleted, I almost started a thread about what he said to me this evening, but couldn't be arsed finishing it.

AIBU to just say that partners can be knob-eds sometimes, Could you perhaps join me in agreeing with this sometimes and say something like "Hey my DP was an arse one time, he "

After a really shitty day for me, coming home to his grumpy arse complaining that I don't pull my weight, then I spent 2 hours on phone trying to reset a friggin wireless connection, and putting dd to bed while he sat on his arse the whole time, well except for making his own dinner and ignoring me I've disappeared upstairs to moan on MN.

LDN-no need to apologise!
It seems he completely missed the point of shpopping. Instead of just buying a pair of shoes it could've been a nice moment, romantic even, for you both givving each other advice on items to buy, some flirting or companies, a stop at a nice coffee shop etc.
How do men find the way to spoil what could've been perfect days?

Oh and yes, he has been known to be very critical of my clothes, which I have put a definite stop to because he knows where that conversation will go, especially after the shopping trip I mentioned. Lord help him if he dares to be critical again.

The problem was that I was a student when we met and dressed like one too, which was not a problem then. I am graduating this summer so obviously got pregnant before my wardrobe could be updated IYSWIM. I refused to buy anything new till after my LO is born to avoid wasting money on things that won't fit me later.

I explained this to him but obviously he didn't quite get it through his big moon sized head.

One day he made a comment about my clothing being 'immature'. He regreted that comment immensely.

Still ranting, sorry.

Exactly Pumpkin, that was half the reason I got so upset. It was like he completely failed to see the potential in the day and let his moodiness ruin it.

Ah well, he is only a simple man.

He does have good points too, so I guess I will take the rough with the smooth.
